A big Southwest sub rivalry matchup, and not much chatter on it. What's everyone think? Lwc losing to Richards is nothing to scoff at and lww appeared to have a cupcake in Racine. With Beast looming for lwc in a couple weeks this could be a big game for the knights in regards to getting those 5 wins .

Warriors are very young on defense but will probably rely on Barber and their O line to win this one .

For appranently the game nobody else has interest in, with 2 quarterfinal 7a teams from last year, they are rescheduled to 530pm Saturday.

Sport hog, don’t you realize that this is anCCL board? Just a few of us are interested in the SWSC. note how many post are about the #1 team in the state? I think there is one about streaming.

I like it when polkhighhero makes some posts.

Everyone knows SWSC is a top conference. I think it’s just people don’t know what to expect from LWW and LWC this year. (What do you guys expect from them this year? Deep playoff runs in 6A and 7A?) And a lot of eyes are on that “other” LW team - Ie the defending 8A champ?

East will be fine... anything less than a title game appearance would be a shock. Perhaps that's why there isn't much debate on them?

I think west and central will both be 7a like last year. Like you said Voodoo, lots of questions. Lots of youth/first time starters on both squads. If west can get past central, they really only have HF as a big game left. They could be set up nicely for playoffs if they stay healthy.

From what I've seen and heard, central may have a rebuilding year. Not many playmakers on either side of the ball. Cordell always gets his guys ready to compete though. I know there are rumblings of his act wearing out on some guys/fans, but hopefully the players can respond to some adversity .I don't see them hanging with East at all this year. They may be a 5 or 6 win team if things go right .That's why this west game is huge for central.

I saw LWC last year. They were a damn solid team. Good defense and just enough Offense via running the ball to get them a lot of wins. I think they beat WV 19-7 if memory serves in a monsoon rain with massively sloppy field. Most of the guys from that team graduated? How many starters back? They had a really good RB/power back type If memory serves.

West is normally 6A - they have to make the jump to 7A this year?

Believe they graduated 12. RB and QB graduated, most of their lines too.

Once north closed, west got more kids and bumped up. They were 7a last year. If west and central would have won their quarter games last year they would have faced off in the semis. They will be on that 6a/7a line again this year, most likely 7 again.

14-7 Central at half. Central’s passing game was the difference in the first half.
