First ever meeting. LW West will be an interesting match up for the Griffins. I say West only loses by 3. On Max Preps they show Wisconsin Menomonie Falls on Tuesday playing at LWE..perhaps a tune up game for East?

West lost their RB for the year and multiple defensive starters too last night. This will be a bloodbath. I think Z respects Ernst so he'll probably keep it from an embarrassment.

Thanks WIU78 I thought it was their first meeting. I think I might go to this game. I think it is great to see the local talent playing each other.

I will say it again East is fast and explosive. I think this has been the big difference so far this year. They are also very disciplined like all of Coach Z’s teams. East isn’t unbeatable and their are some really good teams in 8A that can possibly beat them but whoever they play they will be a tough out.

I have to agree about the resting of players for LWE vs. LW West Warriors. The downside for West is the Griffins have been resting players since the H-F game. The negative for LWE is the starters have not played past 2 quarters since week five. I would guess the round one matchup for LWE will provide new wrinkles to the program on offense.

I would say about 90 percent of the games East plays they rest their starters. This is nothing new coach Z gets the back ups as much playing time as the starters until the playoffs start. He has been doing this for years at least back to 2005 maybe even before. This is part of the reloading every year not rebuilding. The 2nd string are already getting substantial playing time by the time they are seniors. If they have a big lead by halftime the back ups will be in.
