3rd game in a week for EW; Bears first action in 10 days plus will play 2 in 5 days; EW is celebrating something Monday night…not exactly sure what that is
I just had my Bears (Lenoir Rhyne) on the net and the first half score against Carson Newman 35 to 0. Monday nights' Bears may just be totaling more than that at half time. Reason is that Eagles (CN) fly higher than Cardinals. LOL
Anyway, Bears really like and need to feed themselves and fatten up before winter. Cardinals fly South late fall to ESCAPE the pain of winter.
Lmao, I really appreciate you educating us on how nature works. Somebody should call Kyler up in Arizona and tell him he has no chance due to the food chain.
Most schools pick a team they think they can beat for homecoming. Did Wilmouth think that would give East Wilkes a chance to beat Mount Airy ? I say my bet is on him spoiling EW homecoming and want his chances of staying much longer at EW. All I can say is he will need a lot of luck.
Homecoming as in Adkins returns to his former school.
Matters to us loud mouf. He's someone I knows kid and was wonderin if he was back. Against Surry Central he had almost 250 yrds rushin..he is a gamechanger and he would matter against any team they play. The only team that beats EW with him in the game would be Mt.Airy in conference.
Against N Stokes Friday 8 days ago #32 dressed out but told me he was just a decoy and would not play. He did not play but he had no cast on and he warmed up. The Riggs lineman (#75 I think) was not dressed but had a jersey on. He is cleared to play I was told but not yet in condition to play.
Lol...how would I know if he got hurt last year..he didnt go to Ew..mind ya business and worry bout your team..I do think he got hurt at Elkin last year when Wilkes Central.played them...Anyway he does matter to EW..he is a huge loss.

Upset Alert..lol anything could happen...I highly doubt it..but i do remember just a few years ago a truly undermanned Surry Central team that hadn't won anything that year..skunked a very good Mount Airy team..EW could only hope for similar magic.
I highly doubt it BluePrint, after having seen EW, just don’t think they are ready for primetime just yet. MA will score at will against their defense. And with EW big playmakers out, doubt they can sustain drives against MA.

Seen yall...Seen East Surry...it wouldn't surprise me at all if they would've beaten you guys..EW doesn't have a chance..i definitely agree with that..but it's something about East Surry's offense that makes them super efficient ..bad thing is East Surry was as equally obnoxious as yall recently while taking yall to the woodshed..and their fans got on everbodys nerves..but they actually beat someone that no other 1a team could beat (Reidsville) yall are playin great but haven't beaten anyone good. There's not a team on your schedule that will make it out of the 1st round more than likely..Just realtalk.. You guys are good..but just because you think you're better than someone such as East Surry doesn't..make it a fact... Good luck goin forward to all the area teams. Mt. Airy does have the best shot to win it all from this area out of all the teams by far...but it will not be easy..it could however be very interesting around the 3rd rd or so.

I just heard that Cam Newton is enrolling at Mt Airy HS on Monday and will be available to play Monday night!

It don't make any sense with the injuries. I could understand if you were playing tough schedule. Backups should be playing second halves.
Strength of schedule has nothing to do with injuries. They happen. Some kids are just injury prone based upon genetics and other factors. Alot of injuries now are due to overuse. Many coaches take injuries alot more serious now than they did 20-30 years or more ago. We've lived in a world were we are expected to brush minor injuries off and keep going with no thought on someones future. Luckily we have become more cognizant about that.

I played one season with my entire right hand taped together due to a broke pinky that got caught in a helmet it wasn't lower extremity but sometimes you have to do those things I got so use to that I wanted it taped even after it wasn't necessary sometimes it's mental
As for the post about EW doing something special. This is the 50 year anniversary of EW football. I think at halftime they are recognizing all the EW football alumni.
Well today all the "talking" comes to an end and the "PLAYING" begins, at least for this game. But, I predict, that no matter the outcome, the sun will rise again tomorrow morning in the East and set in the West.
However, some things will probably be a little more settled:
Adkins was the correct choice for Mt Airy.
It will still be unsettled as to was Wilmoth the correct choice for East.
At what point did the running clock begin?
Eastern Randolph fans will still be claiming they are the Nu 1 team in 1A.
The mountain folks will still be very proud supporters of their teams.
And life will still be good.
