ES offense line was dam good congrads on big win yall earned it. ma out played out coached. Diamont had 2 weeks to prepare he ran different offese with 3 backs that we put 4 uo fro t with linebackers off line and did not shoot gap. Good job Diamont
Hey buzz styles make fights. i didnt think that E.S was supposed to beat M.A..didnt MA beat Surry Central by 35..and didnt Surry Central beat E.Surry by 21?..I think you used that analogy somewhere last week. i could be wrong though. Ew got beat too though. I can't say much. Good luck in the playoffs.
With new playoff format it will be interesting to see how pairing come out with a three way tie in conf play.
The East Surry team that Surry Central beat doesn't exist anymore. That was the first game of the year, and two-thirds of the players weren't even on the team last year. And they were lining up against a team with 20 seniors who all play. Of course they got their butts kicked. Any halfway-decent team would have beaten East Surry that night.
They've gotten dramatically better since then. Tonight was my fourth time seeing ES play. They've found an identity and they've become a good team. Not as good as last year, but good enough.
There really wasn't much to this. East Surry just lined up and hit Mount Airy, and the MA coaches couldn't figure out a response. Still, that's not what won and lost this one. East Surry played about as well as it can play and Mount Airy played like it was the first game of the year, not the 11th.
