MA vs. South Stokes

Their are two questions about tomorrow nights game:
1. Will South be able to score at all?
2. Will the clock be running at the start of the 3rd qt?
With no disrespect to South, the measure of South being able to score on Mt Airy might give some indications to MA's defensive strength. Didn't South score 20 or so on East Surry?

Interesting!…it was 18….all in the first half too!…..Iooking forward to result. The Sauras passing game was very efficient against East Surry…almost 300 yards.
It is Friday and that means in about 10 hours all the "jabbering" and jostling back and forth takes a very distance back seat to the game, the coaches and the players. A friend once told me that there was life after high school sports. I was not sure he was correct, but he was.
However, now that it has been years, even decades, since I had a child or grandchild on the "field", I find watching my neighbors, those both close and far, to be a very good thing. With all that is wrong in our world right now, fussing about this team or that team is a pretty good way to spend time, as long as it is done with a smile on our faces, and warmth in our heart, and pride of our communities.
Enjoy the day and enjoy the moment!

MA down some starters from injury but shouldn't make any difference in conference.
MA without 3 linemen and D End. Prayers needed in Bear family for one of the dad's!
MA was a little rusty at first. Some lineman had to make adjustments. Once they started clicking it was all Bears.
1. Yes. At the end of game. South Stokes held to negative yards in first half on first team defense. Less than 90 total yards
2. Yes. 48-0 at half.
Prior to the game I jokingly suggested to Coach Adkins that it would be ok to not allow another score of any type by the Bears. He shook his head and ran off (knowing I was speaking in jest).
Then with a 48 to 0 half time lead, the guys I was with starting trying to figure out if any starter was on the field to being the 3rd qt. There may have been but we could not find them.
Then in the 4th qt when South started moving the ball, Mt Airy did not put any of the starters back in stop SS's drive.
Coach Adkins, my words to you and your staff: great job. You understand the game and you acted with class.
