Just glanced at his twitter and WVU wants him. He seems very thankful/happy and retweeting all things WVU. I say 99% chance he doesn't come here now.

our O looked like crap and he's a gunslinger... he's gonna look around if we dont start to look like a fun offense to play for. good news for us though is that he has been wearing the UK blue for a while now and hopefully it was enough to leave a little love in his heart and if we start putting some points on the board then he'll more likely stay.

I don't think he will stay committed to UK, he was looking around before Dawson's departure.

With the talent we have coming back, with 8 of 10 in the two deep OL returning, with an OL able to start Toth, AA, Jackson, Leavitt, Young, and possibly a five star his first year here (the OL would AVERAGE a 5.9 for the five positions, when was our last 5.8 OL------NEVER) he may well start to like our new OC, whoever it is. And that line should only improve during his four or five years here.

We already have some good skill talent on offense.

He'll certainly wait and see who comes in and see if they stay committed to him first, he has to do that of course. He did like Dawson especially since Dawson "found" him before others did. But I can tell you he liked UK and the atmosphere a lot too and was excited about coming here and competing IN THE SEC. So WVU is a good offer but not as strong as another SEC would be and they could come calling because the kid is going to be good. I think he still genuinely wants to be a cat but of course the relationship with the OC will be key.

Another key will be whether the new OC recruits his own guy or not because before not only was Mac walking into a situation where the OC liked him, but he was the only one in his class and one of only two contenders (not counting Walker Wood which I think may be an athlete)

Will be tougher to hold onto him now, but unless Dawson goes back to West Virginia I highly doubt he goes there. If some other schools in the south come calling it might be a different story. Jones is very very good and will end up a top 250 guy by the time the class is over.

Probably more importantly, will Gunnar Houk still be allowed to sign in Feb? He was Dawson's guy, but seeming lacked an offer from zero other P5 schools. I'm not sure the new OC would want him, or the new OC might have another recruit that would follow him here and take his scholly.

Hoak is going to be an early enrollee. Also Cincinnati (Gran is their OC) had offered him.

Jones said today on WLAP that he's not going anywhere. So no, it won't be tougher.

Would love to see UK make a run at Jarrett Guarantano, the Tennessee QB commit.

Vols are stacked at QB. They don't need him, we do.

"Oh my god someone offered mac" ...run for the hills....run....run...some of you arent cut out to keep up with bigtime recruiting. Im sure youre the same clowns that said we wouldnt get Matt elam, drake jackson, or landon young because big bad Bama offered them. Some of you choose to live your life in a state of panic....and the original poster said "99% chance hes gone" ....so youre saying there is a chance he stays?lol

You realize Louisville is a porn school don't you.

You do realize that that makes it a lot more attractive to most of the recruits they bring in, don't you? That along with ignoring the drug usage, jurich's tight controls, and suddenly becoming a Rhodes Scholar when you had to take the JC route or were kicked out of other schools.

And yes, not all of them are included in that group, but you are judged by the company you keep.

And you really have to wonder how the OP came up with such a precise number, and one so close to absolute zero chance of him coming here, must have used permutations and combinations, calculus, theory of equations, and probably some other higher math.

The village idiots have spoken..
I'll give you a break and chock this up to a reading comprehension.

There are very few here ( outside the OP) stating Mac is gone including myself. In fact I said clearly he Loved UK and I know he and the family were very comfortable with his commitment, it wasn't just Dawson at all. And I Dont think any outside the SEC offer would get his attention. I do expect him to pick up another SEC offer in the coming year as his stock grows and a key to him staying as solid as he is now is his relationship with the new OC. That's just common sense. Any kid would want to know and like the guy coaching them and see that they like them too.

There are a lot of us with ZERO interest in premium membership and even less interested in stupid posts like this. Save it for the dummies over on premium.

I AGREE 100% I would maybe consider premium but my wife lost her job due to an on the job injury and it has been 14 months since her last pay check while she fights the system to get workman's comp. We lost 60% of our income and are having difficulty just keeping a roof over our heads and the lights on. On top of that our refrigerator died and we cannot afford a new one, so all of these smug people who have premium and think that we should all go pay for it need to just go on living in their fantasy world(unless of course they want to pay my premium membership) and leave the rest of us alone without their criticism.

Lashing out and insulting people on a message board over football doesn't paint an image of high intellect either.
I wish the board mods would do a better job of policing this type of behavior. There was a thread a while back about Derrick Ansley and it was mostly people bashing each other. I know it is against board rules and a few well placed warnings and if they are ignored then short term bans would go a long way to making this a better place for all of us.

That's alright fellas. Actually have had premium membership myself and recommend it if for nothing more than JR's write ups - he's good. But have a little insight to where I don't need it to form my opinion on this one,
