Rapper who became widely known around 2011ish. Put out some great music early on. I was actually a big freaking fan and still listen. His new music wasn’t as good as the early stuff. Really sad a guy younger than me with so much wealth dies from a drug overdose.

I just don’t understand why someone with so much money coming in buys drugs? I mean you can do anything you want. Why choose drugs? Granted I’ve never been part of the party scene ever but it’s just beyond me

He grew up aspiring to be a rapper. He was 26 right? I had his mixtape in like 2010 when he was 18 and I believe he was doing shows as early as 2008. It has to be something with being young and famous.

I had never heard of this dude until he died. However, I checked out his latest album “Swimming”. I wouldn’t call it rap. Hell, I wouldn’t know how to describe it. But it’s very, very good. And I haven’t liked rap for 20 years. “What’s the Use” is a good one to start out on. But the whole album is very good.
