The staff liked Mehaney so I liked Mahaney but he's not a guy I was ever stuck on. I may be proven wrong as I'm def not a talent scout. Good luck to him.
UConn picked up a damn good player today. I was hoping we would get him.
We are still in on Brea, Small, Robinson and Hawkins. Potentially Smith if the transcript issue is worked out. Sucks to lose out but this isn't anything to panic over.
So many of these players banking on that 3peat happening. More than likely it won't. Possible but not probable.

Brea wasn’t down to UConn and Kentucky thought. He added the Kentucky visit because the other schools didn’t want to pay his NIL

Exactly. We were a late add on and iirc ricks said we fell behind in that recruitment. Sure seems like we prioritized mahaney and missed.
Even if we get Brea, means our cost just went up.
Would rather have Brea than a dude that shot 38% from the field and a 13.2 or whatever it was PER.
He was very streaky, if you look at his game-by-game stats. Wonder if some of that was teams focusing their defense on him and lack of many other offensive options on St. Mary's. We'll find out next season cause that won't be an issue at UConn.
Kinda would've liked to have him here but there are other good options.
Cal dogged on our practice facility. In that pic it looks like UConn practices at the local Class A High School (and they seem to be doing just fine). I'm sure it is nicer that that pic though.
UConn will look like a different team without Clingan. Banking on a 3-peat is a tall task, in this era of basketball. Hurley is a great coach, but the luck has to run out at some point.
Never have been a fan, as I said in the original thread on him. He's just a guy that isn't going to move the needle basically anywhere. When I watched he was as streaky as they come.
