Here's a way for the Dems and the so called prez to get together. A big public works project where unemployed people rake and remove all of the debris from California (and other states?) forest floors so that future forest fires won't be so intense. Finland approves!

It's the just the opposite, govt mandated, "leave the **** alone so it will burn big and bright. Everybody like lights at Xmas". Actually, I'm not sure about what is really going on out there. I know for a fact that if you don't take down and clean up, one big fire is a lot worse than several small fires.

How about hiring the Caravan members to go in there and do the cleanup we pay them and then fly them back home after charging them for airfare, lodging, and food while they were here?

You dont have to mandate it. Just make landowners liable for negligence when it comes to performing due diligent fire prevention on their land.

Sounds about as weird as banning straws or large soft drinks in NY.....Moral to the story is we are ruled by idiots on both sides

No, not really. Governments banning plastic straws, plastic grocery bags or microplastic beads is actually a good idea and good for the planet. Raking the forest floor is ludicrous. Sometimes gov'ts need to protect us from our own greed and stupidity.

Sometimes government is greedy and stupid! Why are the only smart and magnanimous people found in government? What wealth do they produce? What incomes do they generate? What budgets do they balance?

Why would anyone take forest management advice from a guy who spent his life in a penthouse in NYC? He has no clue.

Just place piles of rakes on the southern border. The caravan folks can grab one and head to the national forests. Problems solved!
