Getting rid of a coach each year will not work. Make Trev the CEO of Husker Football and Frost the Head Coach. CEO makes a lot or all of the personnel decisions. I think with the schedule next year, it could be very good. Good luck!

There have been a few schools that had an unffocial structure like that. Barry and the Wisconsin program. Look at them now, now that Barry is gone. It's not a smart move, OP.

Just fire Frost, and go out and make a good hire and the rest will take care of itself.

I'm not sure we'd want to see some AD micromanage the football program. Alvarez was good at it up in Wisconsin but in general we would probably end up screwed. You hire a coach for a reason and he hires his guys for a reason. That reason is to do their jobs..

simple as that! lol

pelini - good hire
frost - good hire

nothing's taken care of

hindsight remains 20/20, and some posters on here swear they're looking into a crystal ball when they use it
Frost was thought of as a good hire at the time, but he obviously wasn't. Pelini is the only one out of the last four coaches you could actually consider a good hire. He actually was nationally ranked something like top 5 in wins during his entire time here, which isn't a bad result really. But we could never get over the hump with him. Riley and Callahan were both WTF hires with WTF results.
