Yeah and it was a big deal, but either way that is SS/EE rounds, I don't think they would reward a 6-seed Illinois by giving them a site just 3 hours away from their campus.

It would be like playing BYU in Salt Lake City if they were a 6 seed to our 3. Just don't see the committee doing that.
I wouldn’t mind that at all. They’re actually a good matchup for us. And i doubt they travel that well anyway.

I haven't watched Illinois a ton but they seem capable of blowing the doors off people, but also losing to anyone. I don't always love that kind of volatility in March. A team like UCLA seems much more consistent in terms of performance, which I like.

Yes. They are the most boom or bust team in the tourney.

They’re not playing well down the stretch. And they are weak defensively. Im watching the Big Ten Tournament final. Anything goes in the NCAA. But there are 8 or 9 SEC teams better than either of these teams in the final.

Milwaukee is a Friday/Sunday location, can't play BYU on a Saturday in Milwaukee.
And we can’t play on Thursday/Saturday because of hosting those days.

So BYU is out as our 6 seed.

It will be UofL or UCLA most likely in Cleveland.

Just give us a region with no other sec teams to fight with......

And I know, that will probably have to happen.

I hope we play a team with several loses in their own conference to teams that did not make the tourney.

Give us some slack all Im saying.

I hope to God, they keep us out of st johns region. If arkansas makes it, just put them in the same region as st johns.

I’m no geography buff but I think Michigan State is closer to Cleveland than Milwaukee.

Don't they still try to do the S Curve?
Not really. Geography is main factor.
They try to make sure one bracket isn't too loaded or too weak.
But balancing them all equally isn't an important goal.
Doing that within conference rematch rules
