1st: SC, MSU.
2nd: A&M, Vandy, Ole Miss, and I am going to go against the grain and say Bama. FL will be looking ahead to UK and drop a close one.
3rd: UK, A&M, Ark, Ole Miss.
Semis: UK, Ark.
Finals: UK.

I really wanted to pick Vandy to beat Arkansas...but just could not do it. I also have no idea if A&M can beat LSU a 3rd time or if Ole Miss can beat UGA. Who knows...SEC is impossible to predict outside of UK. I just feel the two teams with the best depth will make it to the finals.

I think Tennessee might have a revenge factor against Vandy and beat them is my only difference with what you say.

Scared to death about dropping a game. The players in interviews are saying the same thing that Cal is about not liking the sec tournament. I hope we don't come out flat like 2012. LSU in the second round will be extremely tough.

Went on Coach Cal.com and read a transcript of the player interviews, and I didn't really get that feeling. These guys still want to compete and win, and it's an opportunity to get mentally prepared, as the SEC-T is a lose-and-go-home format.

Coach Cal can bemoan the tournament all he wants, but the players are savvy enough to talk about it from a different angle, whether they just want to use it as an opportunity to improve their game, they're trying to win for the fans, or they simply can't stand the thought of losing no matter the context.

I think you may be confusing player apathy with them realizing there are bigger trophies to be won than the SEC-T, and they would rather win for the sake of winning rather than being worried about a nifty piece of hardware. It's a hard juggling act to put this in perspective, but they know the SEC-T isn't the be-all and end-all of the season.

Still think a loss in the meaningless sect would bear more significant dividends in the ncaat.

I too think Vandy makes a run to the title game. I'm taking A&M over LSU though as UK's opponent.

Interesting thing.....would a title game run and close loss to Kentucky get Vandy any consideration at 22-13? I think it should, but it won't, partly due to the SEC playing its final on Sunday.

We need to move the final to Saturday like all of the other conferences are beginning to do.

If Vandy were to get to 22-13, they absolutely should be looked at strongly. Whoever is making those decisions needs to account for their overall record, but also how hot they are as well. I know that can be a dicey thing to do, but would you rather see a surging Vandy team or a flailing Texas team in the tournament?

Is the blade dull? Looks pretty sharp from where I am sitting.

You guys are crazy if we think UK needs a loss.

I don't think UK needs a loss, but I'd rather they drop a game in the SEC Tourney where it's meaningless than in the NCAA Tourney. The goal is to win Championship #9 ,I just hope UK comes through the SEC Tourney with no injuries because these SEC teams get pretty physical in it trying for their gold medal.
