"The ACC opponent could be North Carolina, Florida State, Notre Dame or Miami. Multiple sources have indicated a Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pittsburgh at the Russell Athletic Bowl is highly unlikely. Georgia, Texas A&M, Arkansas or LSU could serve as the SEC opponent for West Virginia in the Texas or Liberty Bowl, while Cal, UCLA or Washington State could be the Pac-12 representative in the Cactus Bowl."

Long gone are the days of trying to find a quality opponent in a bowl game. Playing FSU or Nortre Dame in the Russell Athletic Bowl would be a real shocker.

A Pac-12 opponent is by far the most favorable matchup for our team, as well as the freshest. Their conference is down just a bit this year, and WVU would have a fighting chance to win against virtually any potential Pac-12 school.

Our program has had enough bowls v. ACC teams to last 2 lifetimes. It's time for something new.

Of the ACC opponents I think I'd like to see Miami the most. I think it would be a fun game, old BE rivals.
Giving UGA another thumping would serve them right; Arkansas would be cool too.
Any of the PAC 12 would be an entertaining game to watch.
The others... not so much.

FSU and ND are not going to happen in the Russell unless NC upsets Clemson in the ACC championship. My personal choice would be Arkansas in either the Texas or Liberty.
