#2 rated dual threat QB last year. Redshirted at FSU this year and is now leaving because he's not winning the job from Francois.

If I were Stoops, I'd be calling the old boss Jimbo and getting this kids number. He's going to have to sit for a year, but sounds like he'd be a good fit in Grans new system that he's developed with Johnson under center.

We have our guys at that position

I honestly wasn't sure what you had at QB. I know the Air Raid with Barker was the plan, but he got hurt and everything changed with Johnson. Didn't realize UK had planned for dual threats with Gran and the air raid.

Jarren Wiiliams is already committed at QB...2018 stud UL has been after among many other schools

Like starting pitching, you can never have enough arms in college football.

After a redshirt year and earning his position then he might be ready. Always take the talented player. If Williams cannot beat out another QB then that is good for the team as we have a very good qb ahead of him.

Take him. We're gonna have an opening in 2018 and he'll be eligible at that point.

I would love to see us reach out to this QB. Could be a game changer in this offense.

Kind of my thoughts on it too. Timing is perfect and if UK stays with the offense they're running now, looks like a great fit. Go back to Air Raid, maybe not so much.

Be interesting to see what Stoops and Gran decide to do in the future. Very big decision to make for the future of the program.

I don't hide that I'm a UofL fan, but I want the Cats to do well. Makes football more fun. Petrino has made the commitment to the dual threat game with Jackson, Jawon Pass and Malik Cunningham in the fold. The future is basically set.

Stoops and Gran intended Air Raid, but Barker got hurt and the dual threat game was kind of forced on them. There were some growing pains, but by the end of the season UK became a pretty good team.

Do you stick with that, or go back to your original plan? Tough call. That's why they get paid the big bucks.

IMO, when you've got Snell and a QB that's' dangerous both ways, it's obvious to me, but they know more than I do. And make no mistake about it, Snell is the real deal.

Since he's already burned a redshirt year, wouldn't it make more sense for him to transfer to a lower division and blow it up down there so he can play immediately?

Could be wrong, but I think NCAA went scorched earth on waivers/immediate eligibility and put in 6th year instead. A redshirted player who transfered wouldn't lose a year of eligibility, unless I'm wrong.

That's my understanding. While he would have to sit out a year, he would get a sixth year to complete his eligibility.

If this is true, we don't want him. Sounds like a perfect fit for Petrino and Louisville.

Stoops would have to ask Fisher. Id believe him over internet rumors, remember the ones about Stoops that were not true?
