Same thing people said when they required motorcyclists to wear helmets.

Same thing people said when they banned smoking in bars and restaurants.

Same thing they said when they required people to wear seat belts.

Rinse and repeat.

Motorcycle helmet law suck; smoking bans suck; seat belt laws suck; and now that I think of it, the war on drugs also sucks. So do lockdowns, and so do masks.

Sickening how people just can't follow the rules.

It's sickening how people just blindly follow rules because they lack critical/free thinking. Do as you will, but you would be one of those "useful idiots". I strongly encourage you to think for yourself, and not blindly follow rules that have no logic to them. Target wants to make up BS rules, I will take my business elsewhere. I will follow rules when they make sense; there has to be logic to them, or I will not follow them. Beashear and the media media have the American citizen by the balls because of lack of critical thinking.

I don't follow rules "blindly". If you don't like wearing a mask, you're going to hate wearing a ventilator.

I am an American who does not subscribe to following "rules". People can take their "rules" and stick them.

With that said, if Target requires a mask, their house, their call. I'll shop elsewhere.
You do as you want and I will be considerate to others by wearing a mask and taking precautions from a virus that has killed most of 88K people in a couple months.

I see plenty of men, women, and children out and about without masks, and no one says a damn thing to them.

Guess this depends on where you are at. Unfortunately I live in the most liberal, entitled, self righteous, intolerant, judgmental, and brainwashed part of the country. If you are not wearing a mask, it’s a fight with these people.

Funny thing is I’ve worked frontlines in healthcare for 20 years and now all of a sudden the bag boys at grocery stores are now all “health experts”. Do as they say, or they call the cops.

I've been on a ventilator before (I spent four and a half months on one and an additional three months on a mask - and I've been on it other times); it sucks. I hated it to no end, and I could share some horror stories that aren't appropriate here. You wanna know what else sucks? Is watching our nation go to hell in a handbasket because of irrational fear. I didn't wear a mask for two months, until it was required on May 11. I will wear one through next week, and that's it. Don't believe everything you hear. I refuse to live life in irrational fear; if I wind up on a ventilator (about a 0.005% chance), then OK, I've done it before.

You follow rules all day every day. We all do.
I also disobey rules every day. I jaywalk as I see fit. I don't pay any attention to speed limits, etc, etc. I don't like weed, but, if I feel like smoking, I'll smoke it. It goes on and on.

Not all. Have you ever heard of "civil disobedience" If MLK had followed the "rules" there would still be segregated lunch counters and schools. He refused to listen to governors and politicians.

Some things call for civil disobedience when they become oppressive and infringe on rights. Look around and see what is going on. I can shop at Walmart but not a local mom and pop store? I can eat from a national restaurant drive in and not at a local restaurant owned by a little old lady just trying to survive before the illness came. There are thousands of examples like this.

People are frustrated because governors are picking winners and losers. If you are a giant corporation run by the extreme wealthy you get to stay in business and make millions more. A small business loses everything and chances are will never be in business again. The investment is gone. They are toast.

Why should a citizen in Texas or Florida enjoy more rights than someone in Michigan. I can go to the beach and do what I want to do but in Michigan they are treated much differently. They have a right to be mad because they pay taxes the same as I do. So I will not call them out for going to the state capital to protest. They have a constitutional right to do so and by doing so they are not Nazis. They are citizens watching their life go to hell because of a governors order.

This hoax has created one of the greatest transfer of wealth in history. Upwards in the case of Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, etc, and downwards insofar as the parasites in America are actually better off than before. The middle and working classes are largely getting hammered.

Tax cuts for the rich had already done that.

Thank you. I have and I will continue to do so. As a taxpayer and U.S. citizen I have that right. Sorry if you do not have that right. It must be tough on you to be treated like a slave

I’m fine. No complaints from me. To even use the word slave tells me a lot about you.

This thread is comedic gold. We have one side saying that we should follow all rules, regardless of whether they make sense or not. If we disagree, than they hope that we get COVID, go to jail, or be on a ventilator. Yes, I follow laws; I follow rules, but I will question rules that make no sense, and I will break them if they are unreasonable. I am a law abiding citizen; I carry a gun, and I don't follow the herd. I'm sorry that I'm not a blind sheep.

This is the tragedy created by this total unnecessary action. When a government says some people are "essential" and some "non-essential" we are not being treated equally under the law. Some are allowed to still earn a living and others can not. America becomes a joke They put some people out of business, they lose everything they labored to build and one day the government says shut it down or go to jail. What America is that?

It is definitely not the America that I grew up in. It is unbelievable what happened here. Perhaps the most disconcerting thing about it is that it is largely people in their 20s and 30s who baaaaaah like sheep the most.

Change started 3.5 years ago. I can seem to pinpoint what changed then.

This is f---ing great. Love to see this pushback. If someone tried to make me wear a mask they'd have a knife in their throat. This crap is about over and damn well it should be. You can't hold Americans down. The constitution comes from God almighty

I bet they even break a rule or two.

Didn't the WHO say in the beginning that there was no reason to wear a mask, that it doesn't help. And all the "experts" were soon parroting that line. Now they say we absolutely have to wear them.

Did they not know what they were talking about then?

Or do they not know what they are talking about now?
