I'll admit I enjoyed smoking weed back in the day, but I had to stop from the fear or drug testing and losing a great job and great pay. Not really worth the risk involved in my case. If that isn't the case for any of you, enjoy your weed. The only annoying part of smoking weed for me was the always being hungry after smoking problem. After smoking, I spent too much time in the fridge, which led to spending more time in the gym and that wasn't fun. It doesn't do this for some. If I didn't stop smoking weed, later on in my life as I got older and less active, I would have become over weight. I'll also admit I miss the feeling of being pro level at NBA online. Smoke weed and if the person you're playing online hasn't had any weed, its a no contest.

Munchies seem to be strain dependent IME. Most strains I like to smoke suppress my appetite. There are other strains that make me eat like a pig.

It's ridiculous so many people can't partake because of mandatory drug testing. Hopefully it will be descheduled sooner than later.

I think unless you make coke less attractive and widely accepted, weed will always be looked down upon. America runs on coke. Period.

I have to google this every time bc it blows my mind, but...

I was thinking DEA looked at re-scheduling MJ this year, which they did, and they found, once again, that MJ has no medicinal value whatsoever and it remains as a schedule 1 drug.

While coke remains King of recreational non RX drugs as a schedule 2.

Lmao

Coke money goes a longgggg way.

Yeah I couldn't believe that either I think acid pcp and crack are lower on the "schedule " scale.

It is fun reading this thread. I'm just so glad I don't have to deal with all of the stuff anymore.

$120 zip of good bud out the door here.

That's inexpensive but not as inexpensive as growing your own.

And apparently all the POTUS has to do is lean on the AG who can then lean on the DEA and re- or deschedule cannabis. It's really that simple.

Unless you're in a state that doesnt allow it.. then it could be very expensive to grow your own ( jail )

Only a matter of time until it's legal everywhere.. maybe a decade, who knows.

I actually had that thought while I was typing the reply. IMO incarceration is really the only negative associated with use and cultivation. Hopefully we'll get there before 10 years, but the tide has definitely turned.

Yep, cocaine is schedule II. It has a legit medical use. I speak from experience - and it wasn't a fun experience.

I don't have to be anonymous. Saw an interesting article in the cannabis section of the Denver Post (oh yes there is) which showed graphically how public opinion on legalizing pot has drastically changed over the last 16 years. In 1990 over 80% opposed it. Then the two curves changed directions, and finally crossed in 2012 the year Colorado legalized it. In 2016 over 60% now favor legalization. 4 more states legalized it Tuesday, and more interesting to me 4 more legalized medical marijuana. All 4 of them "red" states, Montana, N Dakota, Arkansas, and Florida. That suggest to me the shift on this transcends the currentl political climate. I was pleased to see Trump quoted as saying his approach will be the same as Obama's, let the states decide. However I also believe it should at least be decriminalized federally. It's disgraceful this nation has people sitting in federal prison for possessing less than an ounce. Just my opinion of course.

To answer the OPs question, smoking flowers, particularly an Indica strain called Hell's OG. 24% THC. One little hit is all it takes. BTW if your 21 or over and visit Colorado you can buy up to a 1/2 ounce. We residents can buy up to an ounce. Just don't take it home with you! 4 years later it's still kind of a surreal experience walking into a dispensary and legally purchasing cannabis.

I am 59 and I have not smoked weed..since YESTERDAY. I have been smoking since I was 16..I prefer to smoke out of a glass pipe. I get a new pipe every other month..
Glass isn't cleanable?
I thought weed was supposed to mellow you potheads out.

Now I asked some legit questions at the beginning of this thread and I want some damn answers.

Hey Boulder, I'm thinking about putting off more Euro adventures next summer for the sake of checking out Denver. Are hotel/motel rooms available around the area where I can go smoke myself blind and not worry about any stupid stuff? TIA.

What is the charge if you do take it home wih you? And how stringent are the borders? I don't intend to smuggle pot out of Colorado or anything. Just genuinely curious.

Also, totally agree on federal decrim. (Prefer federal recrational). I'm a college-educated dude who has failed to land jobs because I have a drug charge from 17 years ago on my record - possession of marijuna. .75 grams to be precise.

Anyone take tolerance breaks? I normally don't but I think I am going to try one for a while. It's been a while since I did.

Once weed is legal in all 50. The next battle will be legalization of crack, meth, cocaine, and heroin.

I'm can't wait for all drug America. I'm gonna come to your homes and smoke crack in your drive ways.
And I'm gonna shoot at you cause I think you look like a clown.

The following post has nothing to do with weed, but is rather a wildlife question:

Does the Green Smokey Mountain Barn Swallowtail migrate through southeast Lexington, between Tates Creek and Richmond Road, around this time of year??

Asking for a friend.

Weed isn't legal in Nevada until Jan 1 2017. I have been cursed by the gods old and new
After residing 18 years in a state ranking only behind California in the areas of technology and beer brewing, I find myself continually amazed Texas refuses to budge regarding pot legalization. For the life of me, I still can't figure out why we're so damn slow in this respect.
