Don't know much about C.Pope from BYU. Man dis is a shocker & ? hire, dat Kentucky went after a low profile HC. He's had an above average record at small schools. What do you think about dis hire, looking at a Kentucky fan eyes. Why not go after more high profile and successful HC. Here's my choices in dis order. Shoot, Kentucky da King of college basketball.

Bill Self-Kansas. Hard get though, not sure he would leave Kansas.
Dan Hurley-UConn. Dam good coach and think he would have killed it at Kentucky
Kelvin Simpson-Houston. Very good coach, A+ track record.
Tom Izzo-Michigan St. Very good coach, like his coaching style.
Scott Drew-Baylor. Very good coach, look at what he has done at Baylor.
Mark Few-Gonzaga. Very good coach. Great success at Gonzaga
Tommy Lloyd-Zona. Very good coach, great recruiter

Randy Bennett-St Mary. Very good coach, great success at St. Mary
Nate Oats-Bama. Very good coach, think he would have done a good job a Kentucky too.

As a Baylor fan (both daughters attend,) UK went hard after Scott Drew. Thankfully, Drew decided to stay at BU.
Rumor is UK also made Hurley a massive offer, but he declined.
Most of the UK fanbase is very upset with the Pope hire - as they believed there were better options, including:
- Bruce Pearl (Auburn)
- Nate Oats (Alabama)
- Todd Golden (Florida)
- Billy Donovan (Chicago Bulls)
- Tommy Lloyd (Arizona)

UK's fanbase are as zealous as they come. Pope will likely have the shortest of possible leashes - which is a very tough scenario for any coach.

Bruddah DP4life, Baylor U has the awesome Hurd Tennis Center (12 beautiful outdoor courts and seating stand, top 5 tennis facility) and Hawkins Indoor Center. (6 indoor courts). Baylor has top ranked men and women tennis teams. For sure, both facilities are great recruiting tools. I would love to see them and play there one day...

Canyon - I can't say enough good things about both daughters experiences at Baylor. Top notch facilities and Waco is a very cool town (revitalized) with all of the Magnolia (Chip and Joanna Gaines) success. You can commute to the football stadium in a boat (Brazos River) and the brand new basketball arena is super nice.
