this is the depth chart from today's game. Notice seven sophomores starting, one Jr who is a transfer playing first football in two years, Elam a Jr who hasn't played much until forced into action when injuries hit last year, and two seniors. The defense is super young. We had to replace from graduation (mostly juco players to fill holes, or fusilli me reasons or personal reasons) most of the defense from last year who wasn't to awful bad and kept us in quite a few games.

If you don't see this as young in lower conference football, you are really blinded by your dislike for stoops. I would bet there is not a younger unit in any power five conference (if you can call us that)

I asked an honest question. A football question. It has nothing to do with this team or my feelings about Stoops.

At what point is a team no longer considered young?

If nothing changes will we be a young team next year? Does our defense move up from super young to just young?

What happens the year after? Will we no longer be young or will we still be young because of filling in behind graduates? And what about the year after that?

I've constantly heard folks talk about a team being young and just wondered at what point is a team no longer young? And what's the ideal "non-young" situation? What is the lower limit to "non-young"?

I guess if you keep recruiting better and your incoming players are better than what you have you are always young, but it would seems at some point youth isn't an issue.

Just trying to figure out when

Although the coaching may be pretty bad, we simply do not have the quality of players that we think we have. This is my opinion.
