Heard MP3 worked out for the horn heels today. Anyone hear how he did? Surely MJ won't add a Dukie to the roster. Hopefully someone else will scoop him up.

Click on the twitter link for a quick video from the workout. Looks like Marshall did what Marshall does. Works hard and dunks!

Plumlee has as much value as an Anderson Varejao, but costs 2% as much. Someone will give him a small contract.

Just don't see that happening. I just hope someone gives him a shot even the hornheels. I know I'm to the extreme about this hornheel thing but don't be surprised to see paige and or johnson on that roster next year. OFC

Marshall to the Knicks! I hope he can continue to develop and make a career in the league. One of my favorite players over the past 10 years.

Does anyone know if there have ever been 3 brothers playing in the NBA at the same time? If not this would be a good trivia question say in 20 years. OFC

A Plumlee playing along side Lance Thomas seemed to work well in college, let's see how it goes in the pros.

Good luck young man. Keep working hard.

I'm not trying to hate on Marshall, but the only way he's going to the nba is if he's buying a ticket. Same can be said for Marcus lee. If he stays in the draft he might as well learn to speak another language since he will have to play overseas

Spot on again @Wall2Boogie! Maybe he stays with the Knicks longer than Jorts eh?

...And remember those awesome posts we all took part in midseason where a contingent of Duke fans poo-pooed K's development.

How do you like your crow? (And I'd better not hear a word about "he only made because he's 7' tall. Damn good coaching job by K and Capel.

Marshall will be a really nice pickup for NY. He will not be the most talented on the floor but very few will match his effort heart and hustle. He will make a good living playing in the league. So happy for the man.

I know of at least one trio. Jon, Brent, and Drew Barry in the late 90's. Drew didn't last very long in the league, though.

Buddy of mine connected to the Knicks said Marshall may be better than his brothers. Quote: "Marshall wants to play near the rim, set picks, post and finish strong." Not that Miles and Mason don't and haven't , but Marshall is not looking for anything finesse.

Joakim is going love Marshall and teach him a lot.

I honestly believe Marshall will have a pretty long career. His hustle, attitude and desire to get better attracts a lot of teams and he will get better. There are guys in the league and quite a few of them that are like Marshall. OFC

I wish our buddy Wall2boogie would come back for a visit since he said the only way Marshall would go to the nba was if he bought a ticket.

Marshall signed a 3 year deal with 1 year promised. Wow he did it. So proud of this guy. Such hard work.

At the time he signed that deal , he was the ONLY undrafted player to be offered a contract. That may have changed by now. Regardless , it's further evidence of player development at Duke. Lotsa coaches can get superstar "one and done" players to the league. K gets Marshall ( AND his brothers AND Lance Thomas AND Shavlik Randolph AND Josh McRoberts... ) to the NBA. None of those guys was a "can't miss" pro prospect yet there they are playing AND contributing. They're all big men too. How long did we hear unx fans say , "Duke doesn't develop bigs?" That entry into "The Krazy Karolina Fakbuk" is dead. Duke , as much or more than any school , is the road to the NBA. Is what it is.

Josh could've left after year one... But yeah, K gets his kids to the league...and for a long time too.

Pretty sure Josh could have been a lottery pick out of high school; maybe a late first-rounder at worst. But yes, what we've seen with some of the other bigs already mentioned has been very impressive, including Zoubek, who had an incredible last couple months for his senior year.

Duhon had and Boozer has a pretty respectable career as 2nd round picks.

I forgot that Boozer was a 2nd-rounder. Duhon too but he wasn't a big man obviously. Again though...more players coached by K who were not expected to be sure-fire NBA'ers...but did well in the league anyway. Boozer in particular. Twice an NBA All-Star.

I can't remember if we've ever had a basketball player at Duke who was doubted on his ability by Duke fans and this board as Marshall. Even in his recruitment he never was given his due and lot's of folks not everyone thought he was given a scholly because he was a legacy. When he was a frail freshman the doubt came out but he always kept the smile and sense of humor. Through the injuries he worked and worked, added muscle to that large frame and became a beast and did exactly what the coaching staff ask of him. What a senior he became. He's just kept on proving and proving all of us wrong. Now he has a 1 year guaranteed contract. does anyone doubt that he will not get signed for a second or third., fourth or fifth and if not he will serve our country and even make us more proud. Marshall Plumlee is more than just a 7 foot basketball player. He's a man. Duke will never see the likes of him again. He will be a success no matter what. OFC

In all fairness Sky, Marshall got the opportunity! Sadly, it was at Amile's expense, but it was a chance for Marshall to showcase his skills, provide leadership and produce. Yes, I did doubt Marshall, I was also one who wanted Oak and Marshall to play together. I would even go further and say as a RS Soph, I wanted him at center with Parker at sf and Hood at sg.

Everything worked out and this kid might have a long NBA career.

My only real disappointment when it comes to Matshall is that he's the only 1 of the 3 Plumlees that I didn't get to see play in person while he was at Duke. I got to see Miles and Mason play in person in December of the 2010-11 season.
