I know it's hard to believe but they seem to be hitting their stride at the right time and certainly look like they are capable of winning Conference USA. They are night and day compared to where they were at the beginning of the season.
I would rather they just lose...I'm not going to disagree with you on that but that's how it is and if they happen to win the Conference USA Tournament then they are in. The better Marshall does the more it helps WVU.
Is this a joke? They are 12-12, 3-3 in the last 6, have not beat a top 25 team, have bad loses and only have 7 games left plus the CUSA tournament for a chance. The only way they get in is to win the CUSA tournament.
You missed the OP's point, which is this.Is this a joke? They are 12-12, 3-3 in the last 6, have not beat a top 25 team, have bad loses and only have 7 games left plus the CUSA tournament for a chance. The only way they get in is to win the CUSA tournament.
Bring back Huckaby.......... He will get THEIR RPI up................ He knew exactly how to win at Marshall...........same approach Pruett used.....and don't accuse those 2 guys of cheating....we all know neither one of them would EVER cheat!![roll]Since 1989 for Moo Basketball...

I think it serves more as a backup if we dovetail in the last few games. I don't think we will but it is still reassuring our worst loss is still in the top 30.I get the RPI argument. But we'll get our seeding based on conference play. A push from Marshall isn't needed. So, best of luck to them.
How much does a Conference USA championship by Marshall actually help our RPI considering the rest of their body of work??
May not help in RPI, but beating any conference champion is still worthy of note. How much does a Conference USA championship by Marshall actually help our RPI considering the rest of their body of work??
The chances of Marshall winning the C-USA are slim, at best. Would be nice, but I don't see it happening. UAB is the best team in the league, and the tournament is being held in Birmingham. If UAB somehow gets upset, then the Herd would have a slim chance, but I don't see that happening.
