very late in last seasons recruiting class. A 6'4 receiver out of Florida, who was highly ranked, but struggled to qualify academically, got eligible and was thrilled to catch on with the Cats.
Anyone know how he is progressing in his RS season ? I think he may be a solid player in the next couple of years !

Checked out all the recruits that committed last year and in 2015. No one by that name was listed. Sorry man.

He had a weird road here. I believe he is with the team as a walk on and should be listed on the UK athletics page. Haven't heard anything about his play yet on the field though.

He was originally a 2 star out of Florida in the class of 2015. He was committed to Wisconsin but didn't make the test scores to qualify. I have read in some places that he was a little under rated and he wasn't a well known prospect. He didn't have the biggest and best offers but he had some showing he has some talent and potential.

He was set to go but wasn't accepted at Wisconsin academically after they had told him he was good. His hs coach was pissed in the article I read.

I mentioned seeing him at fan day, he was with the receivers and definitely passed the eye test. Very good looking athlete, long and muscular build.

According to school news releases, Marvin Robinson is redshirting this year as a walk-on. He is still listed on our official football roster. That doesn't mean he will be here next year, but Stoops developed former Wildcat Melvin Lewis under a similar arrangement. Stoops has nothing to lose in these arrangements. If Robinson develops and goes on scholarship, Stoops picks up a young receiver with length and upside for a receiver rotation that is mostly manned now by juniors who will be gone after 2017.
