They have the size and depth to match up with us and this will protect Duke or Virginia from facing the Cats before the Final Four. JMO.

I think Wisconsin is definitely a 1 seed. If Virginia doesn't win their conference tournament then they're not a 1 seed and I don't think 'Nova is a 1 seed either. That leaves two slots for Wisconsin to take a 1 seed. Virginia is missing their best player and just came off of a loss.
MD as the 2 seed would be great for UK

Could see them as Duke's 2 because of their past rivalry. They will not be a problem for Duke or UK
Perhaps, but just about everyone has Maryland projected as a 3. They likely need to win the B12T to get a 2, or hope KU or Villanova loses in theirs.
Agree with Boulder but I would definitely love to see Maryland as our 2 seed. Otherwise Kansas especially if they can't get their suspended player back. Same reason I won't mind UL as our 4/5. They are not the same teams without them. If Maryland or Kansas are our 2 seeds, I doubt they make it to the final 8. I really don't want us to play UNC again though even though they should not be a match. But, that one guard got hot and gave us fits. He is playing well again.
Actually I meant Gonzaga, not Villanova. I know some here don't agree, but I think 'Nova is a 1 unless they lose. They'd still be ahead of Maryland in the 1-68 thing though so it would still take KU or the Zags losing. Either, even both is possible especially with the Hawks missing a guy. We'll no the answer to one tonight.

I really doubt they get a 2 seed. Have to beat Wisconsin again and win the B1G tournament. Even then... 32 in KenPom. 25 in Sagarin. 28 in BPI. 9 in RPI (lol RPI).

You underestimate the political power of the Big 10. They will not allow Wisconsin to be our #2 seed. And I NEVER said that Maryland had even a remote chance to beat us. Just that they match up in size and depth.......not talent. It is all about protection Wisky and Duke from the Big Bad Cats until the FF.

1) Maryland isn't going to be a 2, unless they win the Big 10 tourney, even this it's iffy.
2) Maryland does have depth. But only 1 guy bigger than 6'9 and he plays just 13mpg. They do have a lot of 6'8-6'9 guys. But they are smaller than us.
3) How does Maryland protect us from playing Duke or Virginia? You do know Maryland is in the Big 10 don't you?
What order are you ranking your 2 seeds in? Because by the committee's idiotic logic UVA would be sent to Cleveland as UK's 2 if they are the top 2. If they drop off the one seed line, I see no way they are not the top 2 IMO.
