There have been masks before, but masks weren't necessary. Any masks may not be necessary for any new viruses that might pop up. But for this one masks help a great deal...you can see what is happening in states that don't require mask usage in certain instances. Once its under control, as it seems to be here in NY...I'm sure the mask requirement will go away. Again, I have to wear it here about 10 mins out of my day. Its really not a big deal.

Because the government is responsible for its citizens health. They are aware some people only care about themselves rather than the greater good, and therefore require the mask usage otherwise it wouldn't be worn and it wouldn't help stop the spread.

And equating abortion to mask usage is non-sensical. You not wearing a mask affects the health of others. A women making a decision about their own body, has nothing to do with you other than the fact you go to church apparently.

If you are worried about their health then wear a mask. You wearing a mask is more about others than yourself. Medical professionals aren't certain how much you are protected wearing a mask, but they are very certain it helps protect the spread of what you might have to others.

Actually, you would be the science denier here. It’s obvious that you will recirculate CO2 by putting a barrier over your nose and mouth. What you cannot know from this demonstration is any long term effects. But it shouldn’t be surprising that or even controversial that a reduction in oxygen would cause headaches. As soon as I get around 10,000 feet in elevation I can tell a difference. At 12,500 I start getting headaches.

So, the science has proven that wearing a mask DOES NOT protect you from getting the virus.

It only helps protect others if YOU have it - to a certain degree.

So, if you don't have it, what is the point of wearing a mask again?
What is the point of wearing masks if your chance of dying from it is less than 1%?
What is the point of wearing masks if, after you catch it, you have a certain amount of immunity from the virus?

If you catch it, stay home until your completely over it. Couple of weeks. Otherwise, why worry about it and live in fear?

If you have breathing problems, or live with someone who does, wear it if it makes you or them feel safer.

Of course, if everyone cared about innocent people dying, including the thousands aborted every year, this world would be better anyway.

It is not true that it is proven masks don't protect you. Of course they do...just not to the degree it helps the spread to others.

And you have no idea if you have it...that is the point. I don't think people that know they have COVID are going around maskless in large crowds...at least I hope not. The people that are spreading COVID don't know they have it, and there is at least a 48 hour incubation period where you can be asymptomatic and able to spread it to others. So, the reason to where the masks is that you can't be certain you don't have it...even if you aren't showing signs of symptoms.

And people who keep bringing up abortion, it has absolutely nothing to do w/ COVID.
