-Where is the ceiling for this kid? Being such a raw prospect with a 6'5" 290lb frame, I think he could make a huge jump from his junior to senior year, and really be a beast by the time he makes it to Lincoln.
-Would it be against NCAA rules for John Parella to coach him a bit while he's in high school?
-Do we take any more DTs this cycle? Or do we try to recruit 2-3 stud DEs in 2018?

He could be huge. If we think he is a NT, I don't think we would take another HS NT, since we signed two this year.

I believe we are also looking at Trevor Trout from Missouri. Very big, ATHLETIC kid. Riley came out and said the 500 mile radius is going to be producing quite a lot of talent next cycle.

Mapieu was a huge pickup. UCLA (right?) was knocking on the door last spring and he committed to Parrella and Nebraska. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this was Parrella's first commitment. Man, that guy can sell the hell out of Nebraska football. Cheers to John freaking Parrella this weekend!

It really depends on how adept the player is at getting leverage, Gilbert Brown and Vince Wilfork are 6'2", Ted Washington 6'5". I'm guessing you will be seeing us looking in the 6'1-6'3 range for NG.

He's raw, but a hard worker. Lacks quickness and straight ahead speed. He tends to play too tall, got to get better at leverage.

He does have good coaching in high school. Fairly high ceiling

What about the NCAA rules? Could parella legally get some time in with him while he's in high school? At least give him a few pointers to work on in his senior year?
