All those racists and xenophobes that supported the Brexit may have been on to something.

Had to be at a McDonald's...The shooter certainly didn't look like the "master race."

meh, that's hardly breaking news. Gotta pick off at least 5 before anyone gives a **** anymore. One dead when he shot 10? That's awful. Doubt the terrorists will even claim him.
He would fit in well in certain parts of Chicago, for sure.

I mean...people that aren't blinded by PC crap KNEW this was in store for Germany. That country is finished.
LOL, hyperbole much. Countries with strict gun laws have very few of these incidents. Consider the Afghan last week using an ax, because I'm sure he couldn't easily get his hand on an AR-15.

US has more incidents in a week than these countries have in a decade. And the vast majority of ours are not terrorists.

I'm sure that will make the 3 dead (possibly 15) feel a lot better.

PC much?

You liberals are just unreal. Do you honestly not believe the real problem here is Islam and it's hateful, murderous ideology?

Think again. Europe is seeing a huge uptick in mass killings.

Rumor gaining steam is that the shooter said "**** immigrants" or some variation of that before shooting.

This isn't showing the uptick. Not saying that it doesn't exist, but I'm interested to see the previous 6 years.

But it does show that an anti-Islamic right wing extremist in Norway is the reason for the highest death rate per million people, by far, from mass public shootings over the last 6 years. Are anti-Islamic crackpots killing more people in mass shootings? Absolutely not, but if any policy or public opinion was dictated by the above data, Europe should be nervous of Aryans disgruntled with the influx of brown people.

Statistics can be a funny thing.

Add in today's events in Germany, the recent bombings/shooting at Istanbul's airport and the murders in Nice and you can certainly see that mass murder from terrorism is on the rise in Europe.

Number of terrorist attacks (failed/foiled/completed) in EU member states. No doubt the trend will climb again in 2016.

To me what that chart shows is that while these attacks are sensational and capture the world's attention, they're a statistically negligible risk to our lives. We've got to do a better job, somehow, of stopping things like this from happening - and yes, part of that means stronger action by Muslims to fight within their communities the ideas that this is at all acceptable - but we also should have a bit of perspective and not lose our minds.

edit: going along with the presumption of the thread, unconfirmed, that this is an Islamist attack.

Most of them aren't terrorists, they're democrats.
