Cam Smith starts and finishes with double bogeys - 8 birdies sandwiched in the middle.

I went to a practice round day a few years ago. It’s amazing how big the course is. Lots of room tee box to green and unbelievably hilly. He’s going to be punished for a few days. Hope the pimento cheese sandwiches can sustain him.

He might need a couple of $2 dollar beers.

Scheffler is gonna ruin the Masters weekend. Hate it when 1 guy runs away with it. Him having the personality of cardboard doesn't help either

All the coverage will be on Woods 24/7. Doubt we see more than a handful of shots from anyone else. Sucks because believe it or not there are other golfers playing.

First off, it is easy to show shots of all the golfers.

Secondly, Tiger moves the needle.

Tiger is great for golf but I'm not sure he will even make the cut even if he decides to play, he said he plans on playing as of yesterday. If he had never been in the accident and was playing competitive golf I would say yes he has a great shot at the Masters but played competitively during his recovery. It's going to be a grind walking those opening two days not to mention four days even for the healthy players.

You go with who's keeping their drives in the fairway and who's chipping and putting the best. Augusta may just get a break from the rain during this Masters but it's not getting a break from wind and that has an effect on everyone. I look at players who can flight and control the ball and putt to be in contention in other words wind players.
😂😂😂😂
He’s the fkn goat.

He was the greatest during a ten year stretch, but the GOAT - not sure about that. It's Nicklaus.

Nicklaus won 18 Majors and had 20 2nd places finishes.
Huge Nicklaus fan as a kid, but Tiger is the GOAT.

Nicklaus has even said every time he went into a Major he had to beat about 8 to 12 guys.

Nowadays. Every guy in the tourney is a real threat to win.

He meant that many of the players knew they couldn't beat him. During Tiger's prime it was the same way...I call BS to the storyline that the players were not as good back in Jack's day.

There's a long list of hall of famers between 1960-1985.

Someday there will be another golfer who will in the eyes of the fans of golf be proclaimed the GOAT. I measure GOAT in terms of major winning and finishes and for me I would have loved to see a match up of Tiger vs Nicklaus in their prime, it would be epic.

I got into golf because of Jack Nicklaus and I'm forever grateful to him for showing me what a great game it is and a game you can play your whole life, it's a game that builds character and friendships.

Majors = edge to Nicklaus
Majors (non-wins) = push, but debatable on slight edge to Nicklaus
Total wins = Woods
Golf Ambassador = huge edge to Nicklaus
Family/Character = huge edge to Nicklaus

so based on the totality of golf career and being a quintessential family man and all around human being, Nicklaus is the GOAT.

Congrats to Scottie Scheffler.

Guy simply dominated from day 1.

Dude hadn't won a tournament prior to 2/13, and is now a 4 time PGA winner with a Major in his hat.

Pretty damn good stuff.

On the shoulders of my pops, I have a signed program from Jack Nicklaus in an exhibition round at Capehart, now known as Willow Lakes.

Capehart was a paid for course for military people, and they also had a little 9 hole 'base' course that I would play as my pops would drop me off for the day, stop by for lunch sometimes and then take my *** home.

I would play golf with anybody and everybody. My favorite was Al. He lost a leg in a war, but would get around and play with a cart. He was completive as all get out and we connected. Man I remember just wanting play and play and play and wanting to do better the next round. The large Pepsi on the road home wasn't bad.

Sometimes we'd hit Smileys Driving Range. They had a 150 yard contest. I had crusty old McGregor irons, but I could hit them. As a 10 year old the 3 iron was my 150 club. You had 3 shots and I striped 2 that fit into the qualifying circle. It was down to 6 people and my trusty 3 iron failed my greatness.

Sorry. That was a real mental dump down memory lane and my brain is now numb.

Almost like Nantz and the Husker board loves Woods. Also creepy. Congrats to Scottie!
I've been about as big of a Tiger hater as there is. I've visited with some family of PGA players who had some pretty bad stories of Tiger being an ******* to other players, their families and tournament volunteers. That said, it was hard not to root for him to play well. I think some of his personal struggles even before the latest car crash humbled him. He's certainly more likeable that he was and tough as nails to walk that course. I guess maybe I respect his toughness now as much as anything. Great golfer. Over the hill. Questionable human being.

Tiger has undoubtedly done some things off the course that I wish I could do.

He also does things on the course I can't do.

Nice, may I ask your age ? I still play 2 or 3 rounds a year at Willow Lakes but I also remember being named Capehart..

And a man of humility, faith and family, it's very refreshing we still have these type athletes and people in general.

His personality is the "anti-Tiger". Seems like a great young guy and it's good to be him right now. It's refreshing.
