I'm very impressed and encouraged by what I am seeing from Mateer. I know we're playing a fluff team today, but I'm still very happy. The future for OU's season seems much brighter now.

I will hold up on my Mateer observation till after the Michigan game. He certainly showed flashes of greatness today but I remind myself it was against a gritty FCS school.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch the game as ESPN+ was freezing up during each commercial and I had to log out and then log in each time so I decided to say “screw it”. But watching the highlights after the game was encouraging to a point. Looking forward to Michigan.

I totally agree about reserving judgement until after the Michigan game. Last year I went all in on Arnold and that went south quick.
