Rice has parted ways with UK baseball alum and former Tennessee Tech coach, Matt Bragga.

He basically got 2 years at Rice. Pretty crazy.

That’s not enough time unless the team has regressed since he’s been there.

Odd. When you consider '20 was a Covid year Bragga really got only one year. He's an older coach and a good one for lesser programs, will land on his feet somewhere.

I actually didn't count the Covid year. He had 2019 and 2021 and was bad in both. He is 48, so not extremely old, but he took quite a while to get Tennessee Tech to be in the position where they were a game away from the CWS. He was in Cookeville, TN from 2004 until 2018.

Didn't look it up, thought '20 was his first year at Rice. Built Birmingham Southern into a decent program only to have the rug pulled out from under him there. I know TN Tech very well, that's where my son played late '90s-early 2000s.
