Has Davison said anything that would suggest what Frost is thinking? Pretty sure he and Frost are good buds (think he was in Frost's wedding).

Yes they are quite close and I believe he was in Frost’s wedding. I haven’t heard a thing from him.

Listen to Davison on the radio broadcasts. If he sounds happy and chipper, take that as a good sign. But if he's surly and grumpy, you know what that means.

i'd be surly and grumpy too if I had to sit thru 12 plus hours of radio crap to watch this shitshow that we put on the field. Matt tells it like it is and I respect that about him, i'm sure he gets paid nicely to do radio but he calls a spade a spade and isn't afraid to tell you what he thinking.

Matt talked in length about Scott Frost on Big Red Wrap Up last night. So that is a great sign. But on the other hand, it is possible that Matt doesn't know much yet.

On a side note, it was pretty surreal to here so much talk about another coach on Big Red Wrap Up while Mike Riley is still the coach and has a couple games left in the season.

I don’t feel too bad about Riley. He obviously doesn’t want to coach any longer (re: him on sidelines in every game). He’s made millions off us for doing very little, and can ride off into the sunset on his bicycle whilst listening to The Traveling Wilburys and The Grateful Dead on the west coast. He’s just fine.

Like most of the rest of us in Husker nation, Matt has checked out on the rest of this year and just waiting to see what happens next.

He went in depth with Frost's resume but they completely avoided the subject of him coming here. It made me think he does know something and wouldn't discuss it

It means either Frost isn't coming or Spielman broke his single-game receiving record on a 6-yard out on 3rd and 8 in a blowout loss, right? :D

What's your beef with the Dead and the Wilburys? That damned hippy Roy Orbison!!

Don't forget the weed. Sounds like a dream retirement to me.

Funny you mention the Traveling Wilburys, because I can't think of a better theme song for next two weeks:

Well it's all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it's all right, if you live the life you please
Well it's all right, doing the best you can
Well it's all right, as long as you lend a hand

You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring (end of the line)
Waiting for someone to tell you everything (end of the line)
Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring (end of the line)
Maybe a diamond ring

Well it's all right, even if they say you're wrong
Well it's all right, sometimes you gotta be strong
Well it's all right, as long as you got somewhere to lay
Well it's all right, everyday is judgment day

Maybe somewhere down the road aways (end of the line)
You'll think of me, wonder where I am these days (end of the line)
Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays (end of the line)
Purple haze

Well it's all right, even when push comes to shove
Well it's all right, if you got someone to love
Well it's all right, everything'll work out fine
Well it's all right, we're going to the end of the line
. . . . .

If Davison is a true friend, he's keeping his mouth shut and letting Scott's agent milk the situation for every red cent it's worth.
