I hold out hope that Elam has a good game before he graduates let alone this bowl game. Its kinda been a kick to the balls that a huge mofo like him hasn't been a game changer.....ever. Not even one game.
Maybe its just a matter of time. Idk time is running thin.
Elam is just big, Poe is big, fast and strong. Poe explodes out of a stance, Elam labors out of it. Elam has zero athletic ability, could he work harder and be a better player, sure. He had a very limited ceiling and a whole lot of people missed it not just our coaches.
He was a true freshman that season. Seems hard to believe he would have had that much effect on Spurriers play calling. You can pretty much hang our home win against Spurrier (SC) a couple of years ago on the fact that he abandoned the run in the second half due to Matt clogging up the middle.
Too much egg nog.Best chance to get on field. Gimmick on offense.
