I support it. You can't tell me there isn't fat to be cut in college institutions. College today is goofy, i'm finishing my BBA and half of the **** I have to do for classes ie. hoops to jump through, special books, computer programs, is unnecessary in my opinion. Not only that but my admins within the school system are HIGHLY compensated well outside of market rates. It's all due to federal and state funding. I think funding should be scaled back, colleges should be more competitive and require more from students. I would say 75% of the folks in my classes honestly shouldn't have been accepted. There's nothing wrong with ditch digging folks, not everyone is meant for college. We are putting out semi educated folks that simply aren't ready and aren't able to comprehend or perform well in advanced fields of work. Not only that but many of these folks that can't compete with these expensive degrees will most likely end up in state level work collecting good checks with benefits until they die. This may not be the case for Kentucky but it's a fact of life in South Carolina. ALL of this stems from easy federal money and fat pay checks going to colleges for campus beautification, bonuses for staff and other boondoggles. It's the damned honest truth.
