Until he decides to run for senate, really surprised LEX did this, sounds like some pressure was applied, hmm...

Time to **** or get off the pot.

If we are being honest he doesn't stand a chance. If his love for KY were real he'd have a much bigger impact in a local/state position.

He has had free political coverage for how many years now? He better make up his mind. Is he a sports talk show host or a Democrat operative using a TV and radio to blast the opposition.
Anyone can work their way into a nightly show if they have the talent. That would leave you out.

Have a buddy that lives in Washington and is involved with the Democratic Party. Apparently Jones has burned a few bridges with the way he handled his last flirtation with running for office (which is why they were all in on McGrath this time around) and his antics this time as well especially with some of the comments he has made at public speaking events since McGrath announced she is running. He has made it really hard for himself to get any kind of future backing for a Senate run which is why being on TV is so important to keep his name out there. I'm sure they are working on the radio side as well, but being such a popular show it will be harder to get him pulled.

I heard him out speaking one time a few months back and he said something about having to be taken off the TV show if he did run because they would have to give McConnell equal time if he wanted it. They are probably just covering their base on that.

This is the correct answer. Other candidates/campaigns were complaining to and threatening to not buy advertising on the station if they let Jones stay on TV. It's super crappy by them but now days you can't just try and win an election on your ideas a policies, you have to attack and try to ruin the lives of the opponents. Both sides do it. Sad.
