People said the same thing after Briles.

It's a top 15 job in college football. Won't be down for long.

Bye bye nothing

Matt Rhule - 19-20 (13-14)
[roll]

Yeah top 15. That's why they play such powers as..

Stephen F. Austin
UTSA
Rice
Abilene Christian
Duke
Liberty

If not for those wimp OOC games Baylor would not start 3-0.
Baylor 0-3 vs top 10 this year. Baylor was the doormat of Big 12 until Briles allowed rapist and criminals on the team. They didn't start winning until 2011. Briles record not impressive. 65–37 (39–30)

Top 15 program. Quit being stupid.

Allen has an issue with Matt Rhule.

Told me during the summer he wasn't a good coach.

What changed Baylor was getting out of the Big 12 South.
Was hard for them to compete. They actually tried before Briles when they hired Guy Morriss away from Kentucky.

But they had pretty much 5 for sure losses every year.

But they have had their peaks when they find a coach.
Just as long as you can put together a staff who can evaluate correctly you can win there.
Especially with how the Big 12 is now and Baylor can play the Kansas schools and Iowa State every year

Joey McGuire could have been as important to Baylor as Matt Rhule
He was hired by Rhule as soon as he got the job because of his success as a HS coach.

Rhule was well liked by everyone even being an outsider because of McGuire.

There could be a chance they don't miss a beat.

Big blow for Baylor. He seemed to be trying to break the Big12 mold like Neal is by focusing on defense as well as offense. They werent a very talented team to be honest, but he seemed to get a lot out of them. It will be interesting to see how he does in the pro's and if his arrival will help or hurt Grier.

Top 15 job my *** lol.

It isnt just under Rhule, Baylor is the big 12 version of Minnesota, start off strong every year because they play as pathetic of an ooc schedule as possible every year. EVERY year. Only difference is Baylor has had an occasional decent team, Minnesota will never matter

This one surprised me. Baylor is a rich and loyal school. If he wanted to stay they would have paid him well for a long time. And Waco ain’t a bad town. You can always escape to Dallas if you need to.

PS - TCU has always played defense in the Big XII.

TVZ has a problem with stalking me. I bet he has a hard on with every post I make.

How did Matt Rhule do at the end of the year? He flopped.

Baylor has followed the Big Ten, Sec, acc model for winning-- although by playing in the BIG 12 they are challenged by an extra P5 game per year over what most acc schools and some Sec schools do to get in the playoffs.

Baylor has had playoff worthy teams over the last decade, even playing the lighter OOC fare like i.e Ohio State, Wisconsin etc in the B10 did this year.

Theres talent to build that team to greatness in Texas though as Briles proved, they will have a difficult time replacing Rhule.

Its a mischaracterization to claim Brown had a " focus" with all the blowouts, five straight losses, etc.

The offense wasnt so terrible because he was focusing on D, more because of ineptitude on 0. One of the worst offensive coaching efforts ever at WVU with some decent talent on hand to boot.

Called complementary football.

Neal Brown plays it but Dana has issues with it.

Dana going to put up numbers. Has an idea of what he is looking for.
It is often forgotten that Dana was high on Joe Burrow.

But Dana puts the defense in bad positions.

Was going to be hard for Dana to contend in the current Big 12 because everyone was changing.

Wasn't just WVU with Neal Brown.

All the blowouts? The only blowouts are the fantasies you have of Dana. You still suck
