After he controversly hired our DC. He sat there and said to the media: "I've always had good defenses don't worry." Is Matt Rhule high on his own sauce?

Yes, you have to be a fool to think you can win in the B10 with Elija Jeudy as your starting nose in a 3-3-5.After he controversly hired our DC. He sat there and said to the media: "I've always had good defenses don't worry." Is Matt Rhule high on his own sauce.
True. Most of us had this defense pegged as being too small and MR tried to laugh us off. so frustrating.Yes, you have to be a fool to think you can win in the B10 with Elija Jeudy as your starting nose in a 3-3-5.
He is the same fool who allowed Emmett Johnson to sit on the bench his first two years as HC.
The word was that it wasn’t the RB coach keeping EJ on the bench. It was Satterfield. Which brings to question Satt’s contract. I wonder if he’s sent packing or tries to find another OC job.True. Most of us had this defense pegged as being too small and MR tried to laugh us off. so frustrating.
That says a lot about our RB coach TBH.
When your personal bar is set at career .500 then he's right. Right? After he controversly hired our DC. He sat there and said to the media: "I've always had good defenses don't worry." Is Matt Rhule high on his own sauce?
But Jeudy was his family's first college graduate and has a small child who attends practice, so that's Matt's walk-on mentality in action. Jeudy must be rewarded for that, right?Yes, you have to be a fool to think you can win in the B10 with Elija Jeudy as your starting nose in a 3-3-5.

Yes, he is very confident in his abilities shown at Baylor and Temple. The stuff he tells us publicly is the stuff he tells himself in the mirror everyday. Now we will see if he can adapt or die. He has one more year. After he controversly hired our DC. He sat there and said to the media: "I've always had good defenses don't worry." Is Matt Rhule high on his own sauce?
I didn't think Matt was dialed in at all today, except when we had a bad call or two. I personally thought he looked pre-occupied, like knowing a a*s whipping was gonna happen and so he just sits there and takes it like any career .500 would. Or maybe, when we gonna drop the DR news...Listen to the post game presser. He is such a slimy snake. Tone deaf pos. Said we don’t want toxic around the program. Actually mentioned the extension and then the way they finished the season. Almost as if he is taunting Husker fans.
Do you freaking job Matt. 15th highest paid coach in th country and is in the bottom of the BIG. Hold coaches accountable. Donnie should have never been a Frost hold over. RB coach is terrible. Butler was an absolutely terrible hire. This guy is either clueless or packed it in with a huge buyout.
I hope he only has one more year. The extension has me thinking otherwise.Yes, he is very confident in his abilities shown at Baylor and Temple. The stuff he tells us publicly is the stuff he tells himself in the mirror everyday. Now we will see if he can adapt or die. He has one more year.
I feel like Satt was serviceable on the TE coach. But I feel like we could find better. The word was that it wasn’t the RB coach keeping EJ on the bench. It was Satterfield. Which brings to question Satt’s contract. I wonder if he’s sent packing or tries to find another OC job.
You should think instead of feel.I feel like Satt was serviceable on the TE coach. But I feel like we could find better.
Is Jeudy's backup any better? After a full season now, they must figure Jeudy is the best they have. Like all of them, he is least a st ep too slow. Like all of them. But Jeudy was his family's first college graduate and has a small child who attends practice, so that's Matt's walk-on mentality in action. Jeudy must be rewarded for that, right?
Could he at least keep the hands to the face penalty to a minimum instead of donating 15 yards and a first down every other game?Is Jeudy's backup any better? After a full season now, they must figure Jeudy is the best they have. Like all of them, he is least a st ep too slow. Like all of them.
Kong your a funny guy. I do think MR went to the administration and talked about how it would be a waste of resources to fire Satt. That's why he is most likely still here. You should think instead of feel.
Satt is an absolute waste of oxygen and his (and foley’s) continued employment tells you all you need to know.
we should be stepping over those corpses on the way to the stadium instead they’re still cashing checks and representing our athletic dept.
Rhule continuously proving what we already know about how Nice Guys perform in a cutthroat industry.
Retaining underperformers sends a horrible message that reverberates throughout the programKong your a funny guy. I do think MR went to the administration and talked about how it would be a waste of resources to fire Satt. That's why he is most likely still here.
Obviously for Rhule it’s extremely hard to figure out. But hey “he loves it here and his daughter cried at the thought of leaving”It is not like this is a hard fix...
You can literally go out and buy good players. There are what, 200+ teams out there, each one of those teams has at least 1 good OL and 1 good DL, go get your 6-8 guys that you need, this is not that hard to figure out.
Oh I agree with that! For everyone's obsession with getting a "CEO" Matt Rhule seems to be a terrible leader of men.Retaining underperformers sends a horrible message that reverberates throughout the program
I guess that is the most important thing! HaObviously for Rhule it’s extremely hard to figure out. But hey “he loves it here and his daughter cried at the thought of leaving”
Well, he could get fired and still live there.Obviously for Rhule it’s extremely hard to figure out. But hey “he loves it here and his daughter cried at the thought of leaving”
It’s already old. If we want someone to get up there and spin takes, great. I’d rather have a winner who is annoyed with the media because they’re a bunch of idiots and talking to them is not optional. Our coach is a Labradoodle. It’s important to him to be liked.I didn't think Matt was dialed in at all today, except when we had a bad call or two. I personally thought he looked pre-occupied, like knowing a a*s whipping was gonna happen and so he just sits there and takes it like any career .500 would. His schtick is gonna get reeeaaallll old in another year or two.
I already gave an indepth analysis of who Matt is at his core, I don't know why any of this is unexpected.Oh I agree with that! For everyone's obsession with getting a "CEO" Matt Rhule seems to be a terrible leader of men.
Can Carter Nelson not get open? I see him around the pile, but I never see the ball going in his direction. This was a guy we had to have remember.I feel like Satt was serviceable on the TE coach. But I feel like we could find better.
It goes back to his fricking PSU days as a walk-on with a walk-ons mentality. It’s already old. If we want someone to get up there and spin takes, great. I’d rather have a winner who is annoyed with the media because they’re a bunch of idiots and talking to them is not optional. Our coach is a Labradoodle. It’s important to him to be liked.
Pretty sure Saban was a walk on DB at Kent State. It goes back to his fricking PSU days as a walk-on with a walk-ons mentality.
Very true. If they put the O/U at 4 wins, you'd be hard pressed to take the over.As bad as things look now, take a long look at the schedule next year. Hell Ohio may well come in here are beat us. We have 3 more seasons of this, the buyout is just too high. 7 wins will look like a magical year, this time next year.
I'm not talking about a proven winner, I'm talking about Matt Rhule. Your point has no relevance.Pretty sure Saban was a walk on DB at Kent State.
I was nervous before the season but kept telling myself that between Butler, Rhule & Snow that they’d figure it out… they in fact, did not…After he controversly hired our DC. He sat there and said to the media: "I've always had good defenses don't worry." Is Matt Rhule high on his own sauce?
Exactly, and if he wanted to hire Phil Snow then fine hire him and look us in the face. Butler was bad in his one DC stint as well. I too hoped it would work out sadly we were in the know lol.I was nervous before the season but kept telling myself that between Butler, Rhule & Snow that they’d figure it out… they in fact, did not…
Probably just another case of this staff ignoring or misusing talent. Can Carter Nelson not get open? I see him around the pile, but I never see the ball going in his direction. This was a guy we had to have remember.
This funny, not funny. We were driving home listening to the game and on that play the dancers said it holding on Iowas. I told my wife, I bet it’s hands to face on us. Sure enough and she just shook her head and we both laughed.Could he at least keep the hands to the face penalty to a minimum instead of donating 15 yards and a first down every other game?
I had a funny thought. I quit the other guy's Husker site after 2017. In the early spring that year they asked during a tunnel talk, "Describe Coach Riley in one word: S### C######## replied, "CEO"Oh I agree with that! For everyone's obsession with getting a "CEO" Matt Rhule seems to be a terrible leader of men.
The relevance is that you made it sound like all walk ons couldn’t be successful coaches. I think the fact that Rhule was a walk on is irrelevant to his failures.I'm not talking about a proven winner, I'm talking about Matt Rhule. Your point has no relevance.
Look at the difference in their fire on the sideline, Saban's refusal to lose regardless of what he had to do in tight situations. Bench Hurt and put in Tua? Fcvk yes. Dylan's stinking up the place in Minnesota? Stick in Lateef? Not in a million fvcking years.....
Hellllllooooo Ms. LadyUnless you're the weirdest guys ever
and I don't see it.
Great.
(Dale is farting)
- Was that a fart?
- I don't know.
I can taste it.
On my tongue.
Okay, I'll be honest with you.
I did fart.
Is that onion? Onion and...
Onion and ketchup.
- It stinks. And this is a small room.
- ****.
Okay, now the tuxedos
seem kind of ****** up.
No adequate ceo ever demotes someone and keeps them on staff. Its absolute malfeasance.I feel like Satt was serviceable on the TE coach. But I feel like we could find better.
