Next time I play UNO, I'm not going to be thinking of politics when I draw a red or blue card. Nor am I going to looking to correspond the other colors to something else looking to be offended. I'll play UNO only giving a damn about which color matches the card I need to throw on the pile.
When I first saw the thread title, I misread it as "UNC" in my head and thought, "What the hell does a 'non-partisan University of North Carolina deck' even mean?" Then I realized it said "UNO" and immediately thought, "So it's really the University of New Orleans that has a non-partisan deck? WTF?" Finally, I opened the thread and saw it was talking about a dumb kid's card game, and now I regret ever thinking about the thread, clicking on it, and, yes, posting in it -- but I'm gonna go ahead and hit the 'Post Reply' button since I've invested this much time already.
If they discontinue the regular cards, they'll sell a couple thousand to the pink mafia, and normal Americans won't buy another deck. "Get woke, go broke" is a saying for a reason. Catering to less than 1% of your consumer base while pissing off the other 99.9% is a good way to virtue signal, but it does f$#%all to your bottom line. Heh! I said bottom.
