The Rolling Meadows kid has received offers from Oregon, Villanova, Michigan, Virgina and Michigan State ... IN THE LAST WEEK.

The staff better bring its A+ game if they're going to reel that one in.

Off topic, DJ Steward listed six schools in the ST who have “been on me the most” - Texas, Indiana, Louisville, Illinois, DePaul and Iowa State.

I can deal with any of those schools except DePaul. REALLY?!?! DePaul?!?!?

OK, I'm assuming the Cats are dead with Steward.:(

Yes, the Cats have been out of the running for a while with Steward. I think the inclusion of DePaul is just a little lip service. It’s just a list of schools recruiting him the hardest, not a list of favorites.

NU would take DJ in a heartbeat. He has "blown up" though and will go to a blue blood

I think NU would be very good for a lot of players....for non academic reasons.

But what's important is that they are happy in their choice and graduate from college. If they can leverage basketball into a college degree they have been successful. And I find kids are pretty happy anywhere once they get on campus and find out there are no parents around.
