This topic is funny cause Maximum Overdrive isn't a very good movie at all. In fact, I would say it's a terrible movie! I think the OP is being sarcastic.

MO is a great movie and delivers exactly what it intends to deliver.

Sound track by AC/DC good
Movie itself was fair.

Nothing special enough for a time capsule.
One of many lesser Steven King tales, not bad just not supper good.

A fancier version of "Kill Dozer" or whatever that movie was called about that possessed bulldozer

Which was always the case when it comes to King. The Shining was the only movie that really delivered. The rest were somehow garbage compared to the books.

Of course, the extra details in the book were good, but the movie's ending was better.

The Shining didn't really follow the book that literally at all. One of the reasons why it did so well. The made-for-tv remake was more true to the book. Okay version at best.

I loved that Stephen King movie where Jack Tripper and Judge Harry Stone fought an evil clown.

I read 1000 pages of the Stand. Then quit. Only book Ive ever done that with. It was garbage. I know people love King, but think its crap.

"It" was the garbage book for me. Never forgave him for that tripe.

"It" also starred Venus Flytrap (WKRP), John Boy Walton and Dr. Frank N Furter (Rocky Horror) in addition to those already mentioned. Interesting casting to say the least.

The Stand is a good story IMO but would agree it's too long.

Dark Tower is also good and could be a great HBO / Netflix series if done correctly.

Yeah, but they were B-List 80s stars (Except Curry). Judge Harry stone and Jack Tripper were ballers back then.

and I hated that bearded ginger friend in It too. reminded me of some jagoff from "30 something"

I used to read a lot of King but then I got started reading this guy named Richard Bachman, I think it was. Anyway, much better style, not as wordy.

My favorite writer when taking a long walk during different seasons. If only everyone was such an apt pupil and appreciated the body of his work.
