In the state as a whole.
100 Robbinsville
103 Eastern Randolph.

Anybody understand how that's possible?

I think the 100 I think the rankings in that respect are for the whole state regardless of classification.

Ok if that’s true then how is ER ahead in 1A and then BEHIND three spots in whole state? State computer ain’t talking to 1A computer? Again I have never liked Maxpreps and their secrecy in determining rankings.

Correct it is but it does seem if one team in the same classification is ranked ahead of another team then they should also be ranked higher in the whole state rankings as well.

I guess we should just be grateful that MaxPreps has nothing to do with the state playoffs anymore things like this is probably why nchsaa dropped them in the first place.

Last year the first ones came out September 21st which was a Tuesday after the 5th week of games played. If done the same this year would put the first RPI rankings on September 20th.

Mind boggling! I’ve never seen that before.

Math!…go figure.

I’ll take a guess…in the overall….100, 101, 102, 103…..are all tied…100, 101, and 102 moved up in the rankings…103 was unchanged….soooo…100, 101, 102, and 103 were listed in order of the largest gain to the smallest gain in ranking.

However…in 1a West…100 and 103 are tied and were listed alphabetically.

Somebody prove me wrong!

Yeah I saw that. I guess Hayesville's opponents were ranked higher than Andrews. Kudos to the Jackets on starting 3-0 tho!

While we don't know all their formula that their algorithm uses but str is definitely a big part of it.
