Watching him on ESPN2..........pretty accurate passer. Does anyone remember the circumstances that led
him to leave Kentucky. I don't really recall if he was told that he wasn't in Stoops' plans when he arrived.
He is really a solid looking player. Albeit, he is playing against lower tier competition.

Shoulder injury, and wasn't a Stoops trooper. He has a nice game though, and was as good a QB as we have now, stats dont lie

Didn't he get hurt a couple times. Never was that durable. And with our line might of lasted a quarter

He was frail and could not stay on the field against SEC D's. As others have stated he would have been out for the year by the SC game...end of first quarter of the FL game at the latest.

Plus, he looks good against these cupcake teams he is going against now. That don't mean he would have done well at UK long term.

Thats not true, max was just never healthy. Showed a lot of potential and had a lot of fan support. Finally, he moved on cause his shoulder was not healing fast enough.

I have to disagree with you, a lot of our fans trashed him like they do almost all of our players. Lucky for him we had another QB to share the trashing with him.

He got his leg rolled up on after a pass and left the game in the first quarter, didn't look that bad but he hasn't returned, now at halftime with SDS leading 21-14, they have a couple of very good RBs..

Maxwell was three for three for 45 yards before leaving the game, and ran his streak to 165 passes without an interception, not a bad streak against anyone. They will be 8-0 in conference play it they win tonight IIRC, they were favored by 17 playing Nevada Reno.

YeH but the ones trashing him were the ones that didnt follow football close enough to even realize he was injured. I just tune those guys out. As a whole, max had fan support. He just never got the chance to play healthy and let us see what he could do...not that i think he' s an all american, sec calibre guy, but a healthy max would have been servicable...more servicable than say, hartline..but not as good as woodson was for us...but much better than the other options we had.

I liked Max very much. It just seemed after he got hurt it was going to take time to get him going again, but I bet he is lighting it up now. Has much experience against quality ball teams.

He just wasn't physically durable, which was a shame because most of us saw Max was our most accurate passer. He's a great QB.
