McGregor is significantly bigger than Floyd. Will be interesting to see how he handles the weight cut.

McGregor is a showman and it was fun. Would have loved to see one of the Diaz brothers in a press conference with Floyd. They are probably the only guys that can out smack talk Conner.

Biggest con job fight in history when you take into account the amount of money these two are making and how many suckers are going to pay to watch it. It's all one big production to make as much money as possible. It all be an epic bore fest of a fight and folks will be left disappointed yet again.

If it's a boxing match then this is just silly, mayweather will destroy him.

If it was UFC vs boxer and he could actually be an MMA fighter then this would be interesting but it's not.

I hate Floyd. He's a boring *** fighter who plays defense the whole time. No desire to ever watch him fight again

These kind of fights are silly.

An MMA fighter will lose to a boxer in a boxing ring. A boxer will lose to an MMA fighter in an octagon. It's just how it is.

Maywether by decision.

$100 to buy. Mayweather will play with him for 7 or 8 rounds and then get a TKO. I wouldn't be surprised to see McGregor quit on the stool.

McGregor will be a bloody mess like Barrera in this photo.

Nope it wouldn't be interesting either way. Conor would beat Mayweather in about 1 minute in an octagon. I'll still watch either way.

Mayweather should win, but McGregor is a special kind of crazy that is rare in sports. It will be interesting to see if Mayweather actually engages him, b/c McGregor will want to fight. Mayweather will play defense and go for points.

I was talking to my wife last night about this; we both have extensive MA backgrounds and both agree it will be boring as hell and Floyd will win a unanimous decision.

so - having said that we started talking about how Connor COULD win if the impossible were to happen.

The net is that CM is a much bigger man and is used to the grind of full contact MMA; if - big if - he can manage to bull his way into FM and stay into him; push/shove/lay/move him around with his shoulders the 40 year old fighter could start to tire. Especially if CM can manage to work the body HARD...he will not land a head punch - but if he could manage some of the above and work that body HARD it COULD get interesting. Doesn't even have to land to the body; could be to arms and shoulders.

I do not believe that FM has the power to knock CM out...to get that much leverage he would have to stand up and get his base under him; he will be roping and moving backward the whole fight.

Thoughts?

Totally agree. Win win for both parties though. McGregor makes a ton of money Floyd fights someone thats never professionally boxed. Can't believe people actually wanted this and think it'll be a good match. Just shows that in todays world if you can promote and market yourself enough you can get anything, whether you're qualified or not.

I can't wait for this. I agree, it seems like Floyd's fight. I'm hoping that The Notorious brings enough different looks and styles that it throws Mayweather off. McGregor is still an MMA guy and everything he does, even in a boxing match with rules, will reflect that.

Also, I heard 8:1 odds for McGregor? I'd get down on that action in a heartbeat..

Um no. They are fighting at 155. That's the weight McGregor fights at in UFC. Mayweather will have to come up to 155. That's a disadvantage for him.

Guys who have trained their entire life to box haven't been able to beat Mayweather. Why would a guy who has lost 3 mma fights have a prayer?

McGregor will be borderline gassed by the 6th round and will hardly be able to hold his arms up. I'm betting the fight gets stopped at some point.

Those saying "McGregor will be able to bull his way in". You don't think professionally trained boxers have tried this?

I actually think this will be a more entertaining fight than we are used to with mayweather. Why? Because he's got somebody who has never seen his speed, his quickness and his "ring genius" and is probably stupid enough to "go after him". I'm thinking mayweather wears his foul-mouthed, cocky Irish *** out.

We've got a Pro rugby player about to join the nfl and start at linebacker in the super bowl. This isn't going to end well.

PS: I'm not fan of mayweather. But he's a boxing genius... McGreggor's about to be embarrassed...

Last night's press conference was a little much. The first one was awesome, the second one was fairly entertaining, last night was just over-the-top vulgarity.

If I can't find a way to stream this illegally, I won't be watching this circus.

This X 1,000,000

However, while I'm in Vegas next week I'm going to put $100 on McGregor because I also think he will probably win simply because the entire thing is a money making scam. The amount of money they make in the rematch will be much more than they make in the first fight.

Because of how skewed the odds are, almost all the early money is on Mcgreggor. If it's a Vegas scam then mayweather is the sure winner.
