Early in the season Watson and Morrow have impressed me the most.. And Roby the looks like the best Freshman.

Well, I think that we are much improved over last year. Steals, fastbreak, inside rebounding/scoring. Not sure what all the critics are watching.

16-12 NU with 7:30 to go. Gill bangs home a couple of threes. Things have settled down a bit. Concerned with the number of second chances VaTech is getting - that will really hurt when they start knocking down shots.

Yes, Huskers are missing some shots. But the shots they are taking and making for themselves is very promising. Haven't seen this out of NU in years.

Huskers built a 20-12 lead, but two quick threes from VT make it 20-18 with 3 minutes remaining in the first half.

I don't care if it's close. NU just looks so much better than last year.

26-23 at the half, Huskers on top. NU led almost the entire first half, building an 8 point lead at one point.

Huskers have played 5 pretty good halves of basketball in this tournament.

Tough first half from the offensive end...looks like Va Tech is trying to play a matchup zone vs us and we are still trying to figure it out. Will take up three at half...should have a good chance to finish it off if we continue to defend well. Didn't give Va Tech many easy looks that half.

McVeigh hit a 3 (finally), then missed 2 more, but the game is tied at 29 at the under 16 break.

Couple of bad defensive lapses by NU. VT up 35-33 and shooting free-throws with 11:30 remaining.

Fuller, two straight defensive breakdowns result in 4 VT points and now his foul will send them to the line for two. He's a UNO type player, get him out of there.

Seems like Miles likes to get the freshmen in the game in the first half, but doesn't have confidence enough in them yet to put them in in the second half of some of these games.

Uh oh....this is not going well. NU had 3 guys at the rim for a missed shot and a rebound...they knocked it out of bounds. 44-37, VT with 8 minutes left. VT gets the ball out of the time-out.

This team starts with Watson, and they've done a great job defensively against him.
