Did you sit in section 114? I sat a few seats down from someone that looked like your photo. If so, my son and I sat to your right (just past 3 empty seats).

I don't know what section. I just went where my friend took me . Did y'all come in a little late? If so, that was me to your left.

My assessment: we are terrible - virtually uncoached. And not getting the last shot off in regulation was as boneheaded as anything I have ever seen in my life. That tall, skinny seven footer we have is completely useless except that he can shoot free throws pretty well. Our offense has no cohesiveness at all, no emphasis on ball movement whatsoever. It would take one of the sorriest SEC teams of all time to lose to us.

- Meechie- what can you say. Two critical missed free throws and the brain fart at the end of regulation. No doubt he wanted to be the hero. I told my son he was going to jack up a crazy three at the end of OT. Sure enough... Expect more from a super senior.

- Big #2 should have been playing as much as he could. I really like Paris but don't understand why he kept him out of the game deep in OT. He had the opportunity to put him in on defense when Knox was shooting a foul shot. He elected not to and they scored an easy layup with no inside presence. Didn't play at all in the first half.

- Mongolian Mike quit playing defense when he got his 4th. He allowed their best shooter to take an uncontested 3. It's OT, you need to lock him down, even if it cost you your 5th.

That, and who was it that let the guy go through to the basket uncontested late in OT because he was carrying 4 fouls? At that point you you have to stop the guy.

Gotcha. Section 114 is dead center, bottom bowl on the opposite side of the players. We were about halfway up the bottom bowl.

It was on Meechie on that play, but we will still live or die on his play until we get the post figured out. We switch too many guys in too often. Settle on a starting 5, especially in the front court. We played both 7”footers at once then played with both on the bench. I don’t understand that. Start Essandoko and Strong then figure out the other forward. Butler is a backup, not a starter. We are deep at guard, like all of them. The interior offense and defense is killing us.SEC as a league is not looking as strong as last year, but not sure we are strong enough for it to matter.

Don't disagree. Don't know his name but the big white dude from overseas was in the starting lineup. No stats and several big missed opportunities. He belongs to the far right of Paris.

I haven't watched a ton of them yet, but that's harsh assessment. It's never a good thing when your success depends on chucking up 3s.

Hell it was almost end of the first half before they got a single offensive rebound!! Only 5, OR, for the whole game. You would think Chucking up threes, Follow your shot and accidentally get 6 or 7 Offensive Rebounds in a Half. just on attempted three pointers.

We're totally dependent on three -pointers, many launched from way beyond the arc as the shot clock is about to expire. We aren't good enough at shooting them to depend on them like we do.

How do you not have a set play for a game winning shot attempt? Bad coaching?
If you have a play set and a player goes rouge - bad coaching also!
I'm not seeing any strategy regarding the offense except hoping it's a hot night with 3 pointers.
LP earning his coaching salary is totally absent from what I see on the court.

I was with my longtime friend and his grandson, and two gentleman we know came onto the row behind us at halftime and visited us for awhile. The two folks nearest the aisle were the regular seat-holders who weren't part of "us". Were you siting where you normally sit?

I only make it to a handful of games each year (didn't make it to any last year). I buy my ticket on the secondary market.

Gotcha. I go when my friend takes me. He has two tickets to men's games and two to WBB. His seats for the latter are almost straight across the arena from those we used last night.
