Still hoping Provi can make a game of this. Started off ok. The size and speed of MC is hard to keep up with when the opposing team doesn’t have that.

Bad look for lynch in my opinion to go for it on 4 and 22 when up 42 to 14. When providence had pulled a decent amount of their defensive starters.

If everything is working, it's fine to let it run for a while, especially if you're coming off a devastating loss. Cloherty was brilliant tonight, with seven TDs, no ints, and a 78% completion percentage. And you Carmel haters can go to hell.

Maybe he was trying to give them better field position, but I do know Provy new HC has done similar to schools up by more

I know there are a few more schools that the score was ran up. Can dish it out but can’t take it.

But why can’t they actually just beat up on teams that are level with them on talent. They had a shot to do that at ESL and Brother Rice and failed miserably. With the level of talent MC has Lynch is doing a mediocre job this season and makes himself feel better doing this. They will lose to Loyola too.

Disagree. On 4th and 17 ran a flee flicker went for a td , But was called back. Next play goes for it again. Providence had pulled their starting corner already.
Looked like most of their starters were in the whole game. I know they were offensively. MC started subbing in players when they went up 35-14 both offensively and defensively. The catch that was made was a lame duck up for grabs that Thorton made a great catch. Last two offensive and defensive drives for MC were 100% subs. Rule of thumb he will take out our starters when you take out yours but most PC main players were in the whole game including the QB and RB.

PC played very hard. I was hoping to come on here and commend their tough play but it turned into another FU Lynch fest.

Morris won 76-0 last week so let's not talk about piling it on.
Morris starters played a whopping 16 plays last week and their starting RB didn't play at all. You tell a 3rd string QB to fall down while running for a TD the first time he sees the field all season.

Rule of thumb, it's usually the team that's up big that pulls their starters first and even if they don't, going for it on 4th and 22 while up 30+ points after you went for it on 4th and 17 and scored a TD that was called back isn't a good look. I guess Lynch just wanted to show how much harder his team worked in practice this week.

Question, had ESL pulled something like this in week 1 would you feel the same?

9,3,5 were all out of the game. Also the play before was a flea flicker. Running a flea flicker when up by 28 in the 4th. Doesn't really change anything just think its a bad look . Just my opinion .

The ESL reference week 1 doesn't make sense. It wasn't 42-14. MC has never really been down 42-14 in the 4th in many years so I don't know how I would react. MC was winning by 9 with 10 min left in the game so if I was ESL I would leave nothing for chance.

MC starters were pulled little at a time in the 3rd and then fully by the end. Game was 28-14 to start the half and PC wasn't letting up, and they shouldn't have.

I've seen many sporting events my kids have played in when they were getting their butts kicked and the other team kept scoring and it doesn't feel great as a parent or fan so the old "they piled it on" is a grip we all used, myself included, to help ease the pain of watching our team get beaten badly.

If it’s the play I’m thinking of PC had double coverage and Thornton made an incredible one handed grab. I’ll refrain from any moral judgment on the play calling, but what a catch!!
It was definitely a highlight reel catch. Just wonder if mc fans would feel the same if thorton gets injured on that play.

So you have no issue with a flea flicker up 28 in the 4th quarter on 4th and 17? Then when that gets called back going for it again on 4th and 22 still up 28 makes perfect sense to you?

But he didn't so....again, PC played hard, they are a tough group. #1 is a great RB. It's been a let's destroy Lynch type a season and I know and respect him personally and it gets old. He could save a bus load of kids from a burning bus and someone here would find fault in him for doing it and 4AFan would hit "like". 😂

He just makes it so easy.

Except he didn't save a bus load of kids, he decided to play bush league.

It's funny, you keep changing the subject instead of addressing the play at hand. "It's pile on Lynch all year", "Well Provi had their starters in too", "but it was close at the start of the 3rd"

Straight forward question, you're ok with that play call in that situation?

#1 is actually pc's #2 rb. Broden mackert didnt play tonight. Im not trying to **** on lynch just thought that was a bad look thats all. Pc was gonna have to play a perfect game to keep it close or win. They dont have the horses or depth to go blow for blow. You could tell in the 2nd half McKay looked worn out.

I probably wouldn't have showed flea flicker at that point of the game, now other teams know we have it. The 4th and 22 was an up for grabs lame duck that if it got intercepted it would be the same as a punt but a great catch was made.

If MC punted and the punt returner fumbled it should MC have not gone after the fumble? Should they have said "here, you get it, we don't need it".

No team is innocent of never running up the score of being accused of it. Like I said we complain to help ease the pain.

Dont worry. After week 9 you can drop down 3 classes and play teams that dont have the horses or the depth and beat your chest again.

Lynch can do whatever he wants to do at home against a 5-1 Provy team who he thinks screwed over his buddy. Lynch is old school - if you're on his list then you're going to have MC throw everything at you. Lynch could have gone for 2 on the last PAT but didn't. Provy got a reality check wake up call on the field and in karma

Because without running a flea flicker no school would ever know MC has that in their bag of tricks??? It's not what play was ran on 4th and 22, it's the fact that they went for it at all in that situation.

Again, you speak in hypotheticals instead of what actually transpired. This wasn't a muffed punt, it was a deliberate decision, not once, but twice. Since you like hypotheticals so much, what happens if it's 4th and long in a playoff game and MC decides to punt and the snap goes over the punters head because they didn't work on punt snaps enough?

Providence barley has 700 kids in the school your acting like they dont belong in 5a. Bolingbrook beating up on joliet central is really preparing them for 8a. Good luck with that. And as far as pc getting what they deserve im with you. What they did with the coaching move is going to have huge repercussions moving forward as far as im concerned.

Does MC even have a punter ?

MC punts about 8 times a year but I'll play along, if that happens in a game then shame on the long snapper. They practice punting every practice to try and prevent this from ever occurring and I don't recall this ever happening at MC but if it does and we can trace it back to being Lynchs fault for not punting more, specially the Providence game, then you're right, got to pull the thumb on that one. Good night
