@PSU Mike -- I saw that you had started this in the Den, and wondered if you had made a mistake (in terms of where you had posted). It appears that a moderator moved the thread over as you requested. I then merged your thread with @rudedude's jukebox thread, as he had started his earlier than yours. All good -- just explaining what took place.
You were awake enough to figure that out!

Beating Tom to the punch (he is still
asleep!), happy birthday to former guitarist for Rage Against The Machineโ€™s Tom Morello

(ps note in this video some random dude with a Trump for President sign. Video was from 2000. Not much has changed in 25 years, has it?).

Holy crap time travel is real.

Friday (5/30) was the birthday of the late, great, Gladys Horton. She was a founding member of the Casinyets. She invited Georgia Dobbins to join the group, and Georgia created Please Mr. Postman. However, Georgia's father would not let her perform in the group, so Horton became the lead vocalist. Shortly thereafter, the group was signed by Motown, who changed their name to the Marvelettes. Horton remained the lead singer of the group until 1965. Horton remained with the group until 1967, when she left to get married. To celebrate:

Friday (5/30) is the birthday of Lenny Davidson. He was not a founding member of The Dave Clark Five Featuring Stan Saxon. However, after 3 of the 5 left in 1961, the name of the group was changed to the Dick Clark Five, and Lenny Davidson joined that year as the main guitarist. To celebrate, one of their more famous songs:

Matt Berininger from The National has new solo record out and some concert dates. His concerts are pretty good and his encore usually includes a cover song thats very good.
This is new stuff. I like it but have always been a fan.

Talk box time. Frampton was gifted, and so cool.

Didn't see this version posted. Guitar auditions got tougher up in Rock and Roll Heaven this week. Rick must've been Edgar's non-albino brother. They did a lot together.
