Didn't see a thread, so figured I'd start one.

I see Bolden is 1 of 4 undeclared players. Jackson, Allen, and Ferguson were the others. Any idea where they might be heading?

Frank looks big. They were talking about his strength earlier. I didn't realize he was so big.

Seems like the rosters are big and wing heavy. Not a lot of guards, at least from what I can see.

Decision between Kansas and Michigan state for Jackson

Allen- Texas big on him

Ferguson- Last I checked Baylor seemed to be on him.

As someone who knows nothing about recruiting except that it happens, how does the process get started? What I mean is, how is the interest by the school and by the player communicated? I know that the coaches attend games and AAU, but presumably some of these kids had no interest at all in Duke, and Duke had no interest in some of the pkayers. How is that relayed?

Some of it used to be that coaches sent out video of kids and sometimes depends on the style of offense a school runs, other than that I do not know

I was about to post this.. Kid looks like a pretty good PG to me and that's where he's playing

Not many guards in this one. He looks okay, hardly a left hand and doesn't seem comfortable distributing although he can attack and has that midrange game.

If Josh Jackson goes to Michigan St., that could be catastrophic for the rest of the country cause Miles Bridges looks like freak of nature out there. Hate to imagine to players of that caliper together playing Izzo. Thank God, Duke has Tatum and Giles coming in this year.

Depends on a variety of factors, whether the actual sport, coach involvement, region, etc, but kids can develop their own mixes/detailed info to coaches to get bites, attend certain camps/tourneys to get noticed, but the best still get noticed and tracked by programs.....

Do kids usually initiate the recruitment by contacting the coaches, or vice versa?

Usually kids are seen on the AAU stage, then there's word of mouth, then there's the kid recruiting the school (a la Jamal Boykin).

When you look at the mass amounts of aspiring collegiate athletes, yes, I'd say the kids do most contacting. But with the elite talents, the coaches tend to initiate (unless that elite athlete is being overlooked by the kids desired school).

Hudl was one of the best things to happen to recruits since YouTube. Started with football, but a lot of guys are using it for basketball now.

If they land Josh Jackson, with Bridges and Langford the future is bright. Might be seeing them in the Four.

Tatum has been quiet, and I don't mind, haha.

I felt like this would be the case and Frank would shine and that is exactly what's happening. Tatum pushed early and didn't get shots to fall and now guys are basically ignoring him. He's much better in a structured environment.

Don't worry, his practices were stellar.

I never take anything away from these games except that people taller than me can dunk real good, haha.

Nice to see Frank drop those shots.

And I agree with Crank, Bolden hustles.

Sucks Giles couldn't play. Like Tatum but I really like Frank Jackson! I can't wait until next season. Also hoping Marques bolden to Duke.

Josh Jackson looks like a hell of a player. He's been unselfish in this game.
Best player in the class. The dude interviews like a 35 year old polished pro. Old soul.

Also bright looking guys: Frank and Jayson.

Frank really lit it up there in the second half. I turned around and he hits his 5th 3 of the game. Nice effort in a more or less pitiful game (usually is). Bolden you can tell has some serious game to him. I've been in the camp all along that has said he's going to UK....but boy would I love his parents to get their way in this one and he come to Duke.

I've saying it for awhile Frank is a big time player, but I want to see him really defend. That being said Marques Boldin seems to be better than advertised, and if he chooses Duke "Cancel Christmas", "Katy Bar the Door", or "Insert whatever cliche you want come up with". Duke would almost be unbeatable with a front court of Jefferson, Giles, Tatum, and Bolden. Coach K would probably have to red shirt Jeter. Bolden is a monster. Not as skilled as Okafor but way more athletic. He seems to be a real rim protector.
