So is Holmes coming to ledger Friday night? That's a long drive if so. Good matchup tho. The Aces have been very solid for a long time.
Sounds like they are trying to play at Guilford College should Guilford approve. As there are many teams a lot more local with canceled games, something more local makes a lot more sense for a variety of reasons.
Hampton,TN game may be up in the air for Friday. Their opponent might have COVID issues. Haven’t seen anything official yet.If the 2 could play that would be a great game between 2 really good teams.

I mean, I have no problems with Mitchell playing Holmes. That's a great matchup between 2 good teams with contrasting styles. A good test for both teams, but Hampton, Concord, Hickory would be good also.
I agree the matchup would be good. Just doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to play a school 370 miles away being on a bus that long, minimal gate monies, etc when there are quite a few teams within a 75 mile radius needing games this Friday.

I saw where Hickory grabbed Charlotte Latin for this Friday, at Hickory. Locally (somewhat), Concord and Hunter Huss are still available I believe.

Mitchell wouldn’t be the favorite over Hampton. That would be a even game. Hampton OL is huge and they have a really really good QB.He might be a better safety.
I dont care who it is, as long as the Mountaineers get to play friday night.
I have watch Hampton play they are solid team. But in my opinion mitchell would beat them by couple scores
Hampton is a good matchup. I'd like to see Elizabethton too tho. Our jv's played them a couple years ago and lost on a miracle 55 yard FG as time expired.
Yes watch them play pigion forge. They have huge line ,very good quarterback with good quickness. He is only skill player they have with any speed. The play like Heritage up the middle every play

Should be a great game. This was a smart move, both teams should fill their side of the stadium. I’ll have to make my way into Memorial Stadium for this one.
So what's the skinny on Hampton? I haven't kept up with football over the hump in a couple years. I see a big line, but are they quick off the snap? What's the skills look like? Linebackers?
Oh and does hampton still travel well? I remember their fans used to come out in droves, regardless of where the game was.
You will really enjoy watching Hampton QB. Their 2nd best player got hurt in a scrimmage and is out for awhile. They will be tough on defense. They gave up 95 total yards in their 1st game. Yes Hampton will travel very well. I think I will try to make a his game.

I keep up with East TN football due to sharing office with Cloudland alumni, the Jones kid is quick shifty and throws the ball well, line is big backs are big and tough, this one will be pretty even a great test for Mitchell, I still say we win by 2 scores
I'm messing with you junior, glad to see you calmed down a bit from last season I wouldn't worry too much bout Hendo think you called it spot on with Elizabethton and Hampton I thi k we could hang with Elizabethton for a half maybe 3 quarters then their depth would show up, I think us and Hampton is a good matchup Iooking forward though coming to the pit this one will be a barnburner too early to call
Like I said in previous post. Hampton is solid team, probably bigger upfront then mit but mountaineers are lot more athletic. Hampton QB is a baller, but the other backs are not very fast. Honestly believe mitchell will load the box and stop Hampton. Agree with you I see 2 touchdown win.
