McGowan of NU Nearing Commanders roster slot

The Washington Post is saying the Washington Commanders have Wildcat Kyric McGowan penciled in as a receiver/kick returner on their season opening squad. Good work Kyric!

McGowan was a key guy on that 2020 Cats team which I think was the best since the 1995 Rose Bowl team. Good luck to him!

There was a lot of whining about how bad the Cats’ receivers were 2018 (championship year) and 2019 (terrible year). It looks like two ( Skowronek and McGowan) were good enough for the NFL, while two others (Nagel and RCB) were good enough for non-NFL pro play. Both at the time and now I thought that, when you include Lees, that group of receivers was competent if not spectacular.

Slow your role on McGowan…he has a long way to go before he earns a roster spot. Still a long shot to make the 53. Much better shot at making the practice squad.
