My vote for the next coach is Bryan McIntosh. He certainly not well known in the coaching ranks but is in the NU annals. He reminds me of someone we hired about 15 years ago. I don’t think any mid major coach will move the needle in recruiting. Collins can recruit but man is he a horrible end game manager. Some coaches grow out of that like Fitz did. We have seen the same pattern for the past 3 years. Do the players have some culpability…certainly. Are we too soft. I think so. I wish we had a guy like Gavin Skelly. Not as talented as some of the guys on this team but clutch and has a little Laimbeer in him. McIntosh had the it factor and as a coach I think he could recruit guys like this. Nance is a very talented player but does not have ice water in his veins. He does not have a mean streak. This is what we miss and do not have a general in Collins who instills this in his players.

Does the Big Ten normally hire 27 year olds who have never been even a full assistant coach to become the head coach? Right now BMac is the guy holding the clipboard to tell the players who they need to be guarding, think it's a wee bit premature to be thinking head coach.
