Sounds like McNutt's time in Keokuk is done or near the end. Any word if he's headed to IC??

Great player does not necessarily translate to great coach.
There are too many examples of this happening to count, and not just for Iowa. And while we all like to see former players come back to coach at Iowa we certainly want Kirk to hire the best candidate who interviews for the job.

I mean, he isn't going to win at Keokuk anyway. James Vandeburg isn't walking through the door. (Wasn't that where he was from?)

Tell that to Brian Ferentz
This current program actually owes a lot to Brian. He sacrificed his reputation to go full rebuild mode for the program.

He got to reap none of it's benefits, gets no credit for it, and instead has had a completely negative and inaccurate narrative attached to him.

Also deserves credit for completely leaning into the defense and special teams with his every decision in '22 and '23, which was the only way Iowa was going to win games in those seasons.

Pretty disgusting what fans turned that all into

I am fine, Thanks... & I am not going to sit on here and argue with someone like you.
Then what was your reason for post #21?

I don't have time to educate you tonight anyway.

If you're ok with being wrong about something, that's your choice. Just keep it to yourself

Pretty disgusting what Brian turned the offense into
Stop.

Most of the rebuild to the O-line had already taken place. Kirk told us that the offense would take a big jump in '24, BEFORE Lester was hired, because he knew the O-line would be in a good place.

Yes, Lester also brought stuff that was helpful.

But he's a football guy. I'm sure through his interviews with KF, he came to understand that the O-line would no longer be broken. So it's more than a stretch to infer that Lester "sacrificed" anything to move from an analyst to a Big Ten OC. I'm guessing the pay jump was also consistent with that.

Educate yourself, 2Dense. What the offense "turned into" in '22 had almost nothing to do with Brian.

Answer one easy question. Do you recall seeing the O-line in '22 able to get any forward push at all at the line of scrimmage?

Now, either research the circumstances that led to such a raw and underdeveloped O-line in '22. Or choose to believe that those circumstances had almost nothing to do with BF, as I have delineated on here for years

“What the offense "turned into" in '22 had almost nothing to do with Brian.”

Yes, the person who was the offensive coordinator for the previous 5 seasons had little to no responsibility for fielding literally the worst big 10 offense in the last 20 years. Gotcha

People may want to look into why he will no longer be involved with high school student athletes in Keokuk before wondering if he'd be a good fit at Iowa.
Does anyone know why he left? Took another job or something else.

nothing he’s done to me would say hire him at Iowa unless he wants something ground level like an analyst job. Coached at Coe briefly, a short and not every good tenure as indoor coach for CR Titans to coaching HS football.

Can't even stay on the original topic because Mary Fere... err @eyesofhawk Is still clamoring for the days of the worst OC in football history, JFC if you weren't 100% on point... I would give you props for being the best troll a Hawkeye forum has ever seen, unfortunately that title still belongs to @ stevenpatrick because you absurdly believe the bs that you type on here... it really is amazing!
