I like our chances for an undefeated regular season with a healthy Kyrie that year. It would have come down to the St Johns game and at UNC. Obviously its not a given, but I'd put our odds at great than 50%.

i think the one main thing that came out of Kyrie's injury was the season that we were able to see put together by nolan smith

I will forever say that we had the best team in 2011. That was the Uconn Butler Championship game, probably the worst championship game I have ever watched. We would have played Uconn in the Elite8 btw, Kyrie versus Kemba would have been fun to watch.

I agree with whoever believed that Kyrie coming back really put Nolan in a tough spot, as he had to instantaneously change his role. But I also agree with whoever thinks that if they had played together all year, that they would have been just fine.

Remember, Kyle struggled with his jumpshot most of that year, and I believe that he would have gotten much more wide open looks with Kyrie on the floor.

Good points on the adjustment factor....I also still must say IMO the buzzer beater Arizona hit just before half turned a game we lost unbelievably around....Even though we lost HANDILY, I just think the monster three was devastating despite fact we were clinging to a lead...

PERHAPS....that ball does not go in...who knows-"ifs and buts, candy and nuts..."

That is definitely one of the times (along with '02) I felt Duke was the best team in the country and didn't get past the Sweet Sixteen.

Still an insane shot and I completely agree. We were the better team and were controlling the first half. He hits that three about 3 feet behind the line over an outstretched 6'11 Ryan Kelly. That was a huge momentum swing and they never looked back. They shot LIGHTS out in the 2nd half and we had no chance.

Crazy to think how a 3 pointer to take our lead from 9 to 6 at half ruined our season, but I 100% agree with you. If that bizarre 3 pointer doesn't go in, maybe we got 6???
